Jack Stack Barbecue - Lenexa

Some of the best burnt ends in Kansas City! The Lenexa location is upscale but the wait staff is friendly and laidback. Great place to wind down your week or after a business event.

Jack Stack is my go to for favorite BBQ in KC. The food is always amazing and the atmosphere is great for any occasion.

The pork rib choice on the combo plate were delicious, very tender and fell off the bone. The fried mushrooms as an appetizer is a great choice as they are very big. The smoked salmon salad offered a nice salmon portion that had great taste. Our server Scott, did a great job on tending to our dining experience.

This is my third time going here. The food is absolutely outstanding. I had the hickory smoked chicken chili along with a McCoy sammie. Delicious.

The service was excellent. Sadly, the food quality has dropped greatly at this location . The smoked wings appetizer was completely overcooked and dried out. The barbecue shrimp were way over seasoned and extremely saltier than usual. Burnt ends were very fatty and portion size was minimal. Though a faithful patron of this restaurant chain for decades, quality control needs to be increased for what is coming off the line.  I have heard similar comments from friends who have also frequented here, and hope they can pull it together. Hard to recommend at this time. 

Very good service. Great baby back ribs and pulled pork/sausage sandwich. Beans were the best and fries were hot and crisp. Cocktails were excellent. We'll be back, for sure.

6:45 on a Sunday evening & the first thing the server told us was they were out of Pulled Pork & Pork burnt ends. We had an out-of-town guest, and we always choose Jack Stack to showcase our KC BBQ. It was disappointing that they were out of such a popular item at such an early time, but our guest chose the ribs & beef burnt ends & said they were tasty. My husband & I both had the Turkey sandwich with fries & beans for sides. The sides were as good as always, but the turkey tasted like they had gone down the street to the local grocery deli & bought whatever they had. It was NOT real smoked turkey; it was definitely a sliced processed meat and had absolutely no flavor whatsoever. Very disappointed and will choose a different BBQ restaurant in the future. We have had Jack Stack for years, both in the restaurant and catered for multiple events both personal & professional. This was hands down the worst experience and food we have ever had. Server was very good, polite and tried to be efficient, but it appeared she had way too much going on for one person. Either cutting costs or different management, but NOT worth the trip.

Made reservations for New Year's eve dinner. I'd been looking forward to it all day. So upset that I found a HAIR in the cornbread. I was dry heaving in the bathroom I'm actually quite sad that I can't ever go back there again 🤢 eat at your own risk, I suppose.

Service was impeccable. Food came out hot and fresh. The 4 of us got the KC platter for 4. It was more than enough. Sauces were good.

The server we had was outstanding. Our grandson burned his lips because he couldn't wait for the mac and cheese to cool down. She came over to comfort him. She gave him the Santa hat and the necklace that lite up. That was very nice of her.

This is the best BBQ in he Kansas City area. Baby back rib meat falls right off the bone. Beef burnt ends are to die for. Onion rings are delicious. And to top it off, the BBQ sauce is tops.

Incredible! Might be some of the BEST ribs I’ve had. Definitely the best BBQ I’ve had in a long time. Better than any KC BBQ places I’ve hit driving back and forth from CO to Philly. A+++
