I am glad I went there. Great service, but better food. Each portion can feed a minimum of 2 people. Great variety of choices. Very quaint and relaxed atmosphere. I will gladly be going again.

Nevet felt the need to leave a positive review for a food place before, but this place is amazing! Homemade sweet and sour was superb. Super friendly staff. Wish this place was closer to Omaha.

Unique food and great service. The location is a little bit weird but fine if you know what you’re looking for.

This is the first time I’ve had such an unpleasant experience. The short-haired waitress started clearing the table before we even finished eating.

Friendly staff, good Chinese food - I've eaten a lot of it in my lifetime and yes, I've been to China, and have eaten in company canteens, the Faculty Club at Jiao Da, and the best restaurant in Shanghai - Monkey King is on my very short list of acceptable Chinese restaurants in Kansas City.
Now, the ingredients and spice levels are adjusted and moderated for the Midwestern palate. However, my Ma Po Tofu was tasty with a generously-sized (dinner) portion and pretty much exactly what I expected, even though I'd never ordered it there before. Next time, I'll ask them to up the spice level.

Definitely my favorite Chinese restaurant in Kansas. And i am a Chinese the Chinese menu is authentic not just American Chinese food like general chicken that Chinese never eat. About the bad reviews that got a box of bone plz don’t order authentic Chinese food if your taste buds can’t do authentic Chinese food also don’t know how to deal with bones. This restaurant is the best also the service.

This place is awesome. Food is very good at good price. Perhaps best hot and sour soup I’ve had. Food portion was good. Smells odd — fishy? — when we entered. We almost left then but stayed. Many Asian families which is a good sign at an Asian restaurant. Definitely recommend.

Not a good experience. I can see why the restaurant was totally empty. Besides being rushed to order, the honey chicken was extremely hard/crunchy, very little flavor as well. Too hard to eat so I sent it back. She kept saying it's because I didn't like it... no it's because it wasn't edible. Didn't offer sodas, just water. That's fine. We assume the machine was taken apart to be cleaned early. My husband's lo mein was tasty and my daughter liked the sweet and sour chicken. Not a total loss but will not be returning.

I am so disappointed with this meal. I ordered the 2 meat bbq combo of duck and pork. Which was flavorful. That's the only plus. My portion of duck was all rib bones and the wings have almost zero meat on them. I am glad I'm not local. I would never come back. Pic posted is the box of bones left over. For 30 dollars in this economy I expect much more than a box of bones.

First time eating here and wow—were we amazed by the food! Everything we had was delicious. We started with potstickers and pork belly—both were great, but the potstickers might be the best we’ve ever had. For mains, we tried the Mongolian beef, Hawaiian chicken, Singapore noodles, and the salted fish fried rice (we were unsure when we ordered, but it turned out so good). We loved that nothing was drowning in sauce, and each dish had its own distinctly different, flavorful sauce. Service was top-notch too! Highly recommend.

This is some of the best Chinese in the area. If you go you will notice usually we'll more than half of the customers are Asian. I always consider it a good sign when ethnic dining that those of that ethnicity are patronizing the restaurant. I have really not had anything on the menu I don't like. Their Mongolian Beef is outstanding with a nice crispy fry to the beef! We almost always get their salt and pepper chicken wings and a large bowl of hot and sour soup. The quality of their food is very consistent. The establishment is always very clean. Wayne, who is typically your host and often your server too is a delight!
