Selamta Ethiopian Restaurant and Bar

We eat Ethiopian food every chance we get, and Selamta is a top tier restaurant. The food is delicious and the fresh mango juice is a must! The people were kind, quick, and helpful.

I made an online order through DoorDash I ordered a rice with salad instead they gave me tomatoes, onions and peppers I tried calling the restaurant back they never picked up my calls worse experience if I can give negative stats I would

Amazing restaurant!

The place was empty when we got there. None of the things we wanted that were on the menu were available even though we arrived hours before the restaurant was meant to close, so it didn't make sense. The waitress was very nice but the experience in general was very underwhelming.

I really wanted to like this place as the metro has great Ethiopian restaurants

The flavors just don’t seem as vibrant as some of the other Ethiopian restaurants we’ve had. My wife even had to add salt to her dish.

Also, other Ethiopian restaurants have offered vegetable sides with their meat dishes. Selamta does not. Limited selection of appetizers although their Sambusas are top notch. Wish menu had timatim fitfit.

Their portion sizes are generous so that was a positive.

This was a great place to do a double date. Delicious food, large portions, and a good cohort of native ethiopians enjoying the atmosphere made this a wonderful experience. I highly recommend.

Selamta was good before, but now the chefs are Mexicans and the Firfir they make is not good at all, because Idt they actually are great in making Ethiopian foods. Know that Ethiopian food is one of the best foods in the world, but this restaurant foods is not that good especially the firfir. that’s not how you make
