Thanks Lola for your wonderful service and delicious cocktails! And especially for a fun night for me and my visiting family/friends ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The Saloon is the whiskey nerd's half of Old Shawnee Pizza. We show up for Whiskey Wednesday (25% off) and then seem to show up at least 2-3 more times per week.
The pizza is good. The Pappy, Penelope, Weller, JD, Russell's, allocated Blantons, etc. are amazing. Grab a chair. Be nice to Lola. Drink something new.

I thought this was a saloon. It is not a saloon, it is a pizza restaurant. (Old Shawnee). Separate door but both doors lead to the pizza shop. One bar serving both sides of the restaurant with a ton of brown liquors on the wall. Bartender was not that enthusiastic about her job and kept telling people she was having difficulty with the computer so she couldn’t help them, even if it was pouring a beer or grabbing a can or bottle of beer for another server. They have good pizza but the drinks are average. I got the smoked old fashioned that was not smoked. Bartender could not figure out how to use the smoker machine so she gave up and handed it to me and said “this is the best that I can do”. It tasted meh, probably 5/10 at best. Then she couldn’t get my card to work, gave her another one, couldn’t get it to work, gave her third and didn’t work and then they took the third card to another machine and it worked. Thought maybe I was out of money :). I was not. The guy next to us was trying to tab out and the bartender got all bent out of shape and said just wait a minute and I’ll get to you. She might want to consider a job behind a computer so she doesn’t have to deal with people. “Handcrafted Cocktails” is a term used too loosely in this place. Find a new mixologist. One that doesn’t have to look at the book to see what the ingredients are for all drinks. Or at the very least don’t let all the patrons see you doing the looking at the book. Wanted to try a new place on the way to our dinner and 45 mins later we were unsatisfied with our pick.

Restaurantji Recommends
This is the bar side of the Old Shawnee Pizza (Lenexa) space. We went to OSP for a weeknight dinner, and the live music in the main restaurant side was good but loud for carrying a conversation, so we decided to try the Saloon side. Glad we did!The space feels a little more cozy with a few tables, booths, and bar seating. Same food plus a fairly extensive drink menu to browse. Service was pretty solid, with a laid-back and welcoming neighborhood bar vibe. Music filled the space from around the other side, and a U.S. Women's Soccer game was live on the big screens.Enjoyed the OSP Dip appetizer (made to order), St. Louie specialty pizza (which happened to be on special), craft beer on tap, and a 1oz whiskey pour, but the show-stopper of the night was The Campfire seasonal smoked cocktail. For a dark, cold, rainy night, this was a warm and relaxing reprieve.
A very laid-back and casual cocktail bar with a ton of whiskey selections to choose from!
The description on Google is very misleading. This is not a cocktail bar, it’s the bar counter at Old Shawnee Pizza. We were disappointed by both of the happy hour appetizers. The drinks were ok. There was live music setting up as we were leaving, which could be fun.
great atmosphere, very top of the line creative drinks
