Small expensive portions, nothing tasted “southern” and never have I had a ruder waitress!

Just happened to stumble across this place and so glad we did! I was a little worried after reading some of the other reviews but this place really blew us out of the water, including my super picky and hard to please 12yo daughter, which never happens. We had fried okra & fried pickle apps, both delicious and loved by everyone. The shrimp and grits were amazing and they even added a fried egg on top at my request; the smothered chicken with brussel sprouts and green beans were also wonderful. My kid said she really liked the peach chicken and waffles which is actually incredibly high praise from her. She also loved her golden mule mocktail and the blue mountain coffee was honestly the best coffee I’ve had in a while. Lastly, I can’t say enough great things about our server Colin. His service was wonderful, very attentive without being overbearing. Could not recommend this place more highly and can’t wait to come back and try the rest of the menu. I’d eat here again tomorrow!

This is a beautiful restaurant. It is a nice place to get together for quiet dinner. All the details really come together. I've been two times now. I've had the fried chicken breast and potatoes. The other visit I had the chicken salad and French fries. The chicken salad was very messy and had a funny taste to it and I will not order that again. The french fries were extremely salty. The Fried Chicken was delicious. The sweet tea was good and I really enjoyed the glass that it came in. I will definitely be back to try other things on the menu.

The food was plated well and served at the right temperature. The biscuits were awesome. Buttery flavor and sweet. The gravy was awesome … thick with plenty of sausage, but there was only about ²/₃ the amount of gravy that I needed … had to finish with a dry biscuit. The scrambled eggs had a good texture, had some mild chopped chives or scallions mixed in, and had zero scorch. Bacon tasted great, a sweet and smokey flavor (shared from my wife’s plate).

Walked in at 8:04pm and were told the kitchen apparently closed at 8:00pm, even though the restaurant hours were listed until 9:00pm on their door.

We’ve tried to go twice now. The first time, there were many open tables, yet a 50 minute wait. We did not stay. We just attempted to go tonight at 550 on a Sunday. There were only 2 tables of guests. We were sat behind one of them and never got service. We sat there for 10 minutes watching the waitress come out from the back multiple times to the table of 3 next to us. Never once stopped by. We may not have been in her section, who knows. Another table was sat on the other side of us and within 60 seconds a new waitress came out from the back and greeted them. We got up and left. We will not be back.

My mom and I stopped by for lunch today. We stood at the front with another gentleman. For a long time no one even looked at us. Then a server came up and mumbled to the guy that the hostess would be up soon. She was just leaning against the wall back by the bar. The server and another guy went over to talk to her. No one even glanced up at us and there wasn't any sense of urgency. We turned around and left. I can count on 1 hand the number of times I've walked out of a restaurant. Usually just because the wait was too long on a busy evening. They were not swamped or anything of the sort. The bar tender was also not doing anything. I had really been looking forward to trying the restaurant, but I will not be back. I also found the atmosphere to be pretty generic. I expected it to be more warm and inviting. We ended up eating at Jack Stack. Never a disappointment there. Tupelo Honey should come over here and learn a few things.

We started with the fried green tomatoes and while they weren't typical southern, they were delicious. The soup was good as was the hot chicken sandwich. The fries were a little dried out and my fried chicken which I was hoping would be the star of the meal was dried out and not really worth eating.

The food was good here. We had the fried green tomatoes and the needed some seasoning but I added ranch and they were great. My main was the sweet and spicy chicken delicious. I just wish they had more options.

On Valentine's weekend (when they had a special Valentine's menu) there was only one host to greet and seat and seemingly only one server. The server was the bright light of the whole evening. Even though everything about the evening was slow, she would come check on us and always had a smile on her face.

I think that the atmosphere here was great! This would be a great place for a celebratory brunch. I had the spicy chicken and waffle and while it was good, it was definitely not the best I have ever had. I think the food was also a bit over priced. I will definitely try it again, and order something different next time. (We only had 2 people and arrived before 10 am, I’ve heard it gets busy after that)

I have really looked forward to going to this restaurant and have followed them on social media for quite some time. It's a little out of the ways for us so we don't normally go to this area for anything but decided to give it a shot today. The place was not busy and we were informed that it's best to have a reservation even though there was no wait. We were seated by the bar area and waited while watching other guys get served and made eye contact with the bartenders several times who were assisting other guests that arrived after us only to be ignored. The experience was extremely disappointing and we didn't stay to order as no one came to offer coffee or water let alone order breakfast. Hopefully you have a better experience but we will not be back.
