Average bar. They often host events like concerts for smaller bands, making the bar extremely loud but very fun. Service is okay, with many of the bartenders seeming like someone killed their family dog the day prior.

Man, everyone I know recommends this place. I had such high hopes. It's so disappointing to review it this low, but our waitress didn't let us know there was a minimum on our purchase after we asked to close our tab during our initial order. She came back and said she couldn't, to which we had to figure out how to make it to $10. We asked to just give two cookies away, but I don't even know how my bill got to the minimum from there. Minimum purchases are illegal. The drink quality was truly overshadowed by this poor experience and I don't think it would be worth coming back for the price.

Best place in Aggieville to sit down with friends and have great conversations. The wait staff is friendly, the atmosphere is old school and cozy. There are other places in Aggieville, but this is the best. Cocktails are plenty with great prices. It represents Wildcat Spirit.

9:00 pm: Manhattan, KS It may have been getting late, but hey, this was downtown Manhattan. So we swung by Auntie Mae's Parlor for an after-dinner drink. This place looked so promising online: "The best bar in Manhattan, KS," "The best cocktails in the area," and "I didn't expect to find a bar this cool in this town." So much so that I was really looking forward to having a Manhattan in Manhattan (get it!?). You enter a well appointed room with a pool table, then take the stairs down to a dark, low ceilinged bar that has personality. The place has rustic vibe which when combined with the extensive liquor inventory that is displayed under a mounted gar says "Salud!" And it went down hill from there and fast. I didn't get a good mixology vibe when the "bartender" mentioned under her breath that this was "the first Manhattan I've ever made." I might not have heard her except I was focused on her technique when I noticed she was haltingly making my cocktail . . . off an index card. The crushed ice and orange curacao didn't help. The Subscriber who was accompanying me on this Great Plains adventure wisely ordered Old Forrester on the rocks, but the bourbon to glass to rock ratio was so out of whack, his drink looked a giant sphere of ice resting in a splash of bourbon. The fact that I couldn't review the bill without first paying and that Mrs. AAR's Baileys on the rocks was actually made with a Bailey's facsimile (Schmaileys?) made it all so surreal. If you must visit . . . under threat of violence, order bourbon . . . neat. The second star is for the ambiance.

Google has this listed as a gay bar. Definitely not a gay bar. It's a mixed crowd which is fine, but I would recommend to the owners of the location to update the Google description so that it's not listed as a gay bar. To get to the bar you have to go downstairs. I would have liked to have known that ahead of time there is no access that I could see for people with disabilities. And then when you get downstairs it's very congested. It's in a very college section of Manhattan. So a lot of the crowd is college kids, loud noisy using a ball game volume to talk rather than an inside volume. So it was a little annoying. It was also very dirty When we went to the bar the seat was covered with something sticky and so was the bar in the menu so I had to ask the bartender for something to clean with. The drinks were reasonably priced but it definitely reminds you of being in a basement, It's humid and very uncomfortable. If somebody would open up a gay bar in this town they would clean up!

One of the best places to go Aggieville if you want a chill night with friends (basically the opposite of Tubbys)

The best bar in MHK! Be sure to stop by the wiener hole!

Cool little spot downstairs. They have no food and they have a $10 minimum if you’re going to use a credit card or debit card but it’s a cool spot to go to.

This is a hidden gem! This unsuspecting station has the most inviting atmosphere with a history that you can feel. The staff is welcoming and inviting, allowing you to feel safe and comfortable on your night out or quick trip through.Whether you are in a mood for sports, board games, or billiards, this place has you covered. All this is somehow accomplished without a loud or obtrusive atmosphere.Lastly, be sure to grab a hotdog on your escapade to Auntie Mae's. With their assortment of hot sauces, you will find yourself in one of the more formative experiences of your life.(I believe it is called the cheese dog and it will bring you great and bountiful happiness)

Auntie Mae's is a smooth, soulful place. The atmosphere is great. The basement is a safe haven for anyone who wants to get some drinks in a tranquil environment. The staff are great always. The blends of a peaceful aura, exciting choice of drinks, and finger foods for anyone who wants to grab a light dinner.Auntie Mae's was my first experience of a bar in Manhattan, and it's felt like home ever since.

Our first experience at Aunite Mae's was amazing. Christa was our bar tend. She made four amazing cocktails - The Aviation, the Zipper with Creme de Cassis instead of Chambord, The Garden Party with Chartreuse, and Kentucky Saint. She answered our questions and was extremely sweet.
