“I had an amazing experience at Mi Tierra Restaurant & Cantina. I wish I could give them more than five stars! From the moment we walked in, the staff was very friendly. They greeted us warmly and even complimented my husband's hair. We were served quickly, and the food was outstanding! My husband ordered the Enchiladas Mexicanas, while I opted for the Choripollo, and we both enjoyed our meals. The homemade tortillas were particularly delicious. The restaurant also offers vegetarian options on their menu. We had a chance to chat with the host, who turned out to be one of the owners, along with his mother-in-law. He was extremely kind and friendly, and it was clear that he puts his heart and soul into running the business. The decor was charming and added to the overall experience. We have decided that this restaurant will be our go-to spot for Mexican food from now on. I highly recommend checking them out.”

“I am the Chairman for Junction City / Geary County Crime Stoppers and we had a banquet offsite in Junction City for around 270 people on March 1st, 2024. Nico's catered the food and the bar! 10/10 would recommend. Their staff was polite and willing to help from the very beginning of the process from booking to night of. The staff on site was incredible, especially Kendall who made sure everyone was taken care of. I can't say enough about how amazing it was to not have to worry about the food and bar, while spear heading a banquet. I will definitely be reaching out again next year for our annual banquet! Down home, just what you didn’t know you were even craving, comfort food, made from scratch daily. I recommend the tostadas! Straight dank! Also, their frijoles are to die for. You know a place is good when the side of beans brings you back in for more. They sell their beans in bulk as well. $14.99 for 32 oz. Your family will thank you, and if you don’t tell them you don’t make em, they’ll think you’re the best damn frijoles maker in Riley County, because let’s be real, 90% of y’all have never been outside Riley County.

“Maybe yesterday was not the best day for the cook? Normally Manhattan Olive Garden is 100% on the ball. Our eggplant parm was sliced so thin I could barely find the eggplant from the breading. My salmon was a bit overcooked and the chicken margharita was tough although it tasted very good. We'll be back and hope it was just an off day.”

“One of our favorite places in town to go eat! If you like spicy food this is the place for you they will make it as spicy as you want! We usually get the Chicken Pad Thai and Pineapple Fried rice. Both are great dishes and highly recommend them! I had also gotten the Crab Fried rice and it’s amazing!

If you’re lucky enough to have mangos in season get the Mangos and Sticky Rice dessert you’ll thank me later!”

“They're so wonderful here! The smoothies are so delicious! Aside from that though, when my Mother In Law was in Hospice care, and wasn't eating, we were there everyday. They knew our situation and knew exactly what to make her. We just told them the flavors she likes and her allergies. They pumped them full of protein, gut health, and multivitamins. Pretty sure these college kids in this Smoothie King are part of why she is now home, walking with only a cane, and totally back to her old self! It really is a miracle! When we thanked them for all their help, they said that was so special, and anything they can do for her in the future, just let them know. “This was the only food trick open on the food truck corner. First time I've stopped in to the location (at least 5 other food trucks parked there). Got the fajita bowl that was a special with asada for meat. Got home and looked at it and thought this is going to be a bunch of leathery chewy meat. Was I wrong! Actually very tender and cooked well. It was great. Biggest complaint I have, which is actually a compliment for most was there was very little rice on the bottom vs most places that load up the rice and skimp on the actual main ingredients. I only say this is a complaint because I did try some of the rice I dug out separately and this is the perfect flavor I love. Will have to get a separate side of it next time!”

“I had a military reunion and Old Chicago catered it for me. The staff and management was amazing and everything was ready on time they helped load everything in to the vehicle. The food was a hit with everyone and there was nothing left at the end of the night. Apparently the ranch dressing is the best around because there was a “fight” on who got to take the left over ranch home with them! It was a great time and I highly recommend Old Chicago to anyone needing a catered event.”

“Great place. As an aviation crew member, we didn't get into town until around midnight. We were so appreciative to find out there were food options like The Varsity Truck that had dougnuts, corn dogs, and even a mac n cheese grilled cheese sandwich. Definitely recommend stopping by here if and when they are open. We landed on Saturday, right before midnight. So, not sure of business hours if they're open during the entire week or only the weekend. Either way, make an effort to try this place out for yourself. Fast, friendly service and great tasting food.”

“I had a chicken ceaser wrap and the sweet potato fries. The fries were overdone...really chewy. Maybe that just don't know how to fry these like the potato twists. I had one of those and it was really good. The service is really slow but it is students waiting on you and not waitstaff working for a tip.”

“I was greeted upon entry with a smile and a “Welcome to Starbucks.” The young lady who took my order was friendly and made brief and pleasant conversation with me. My drink was quickly served and the barista who served me was friendly too. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and my iced coffee was great.

There is kind of an odd entrance into the location, but it is clearly marked, so I was prevented from going into the wrong entrance. Just be advised.”

I personally prefer the ground beef taco meat at QDoba. I have also gotten excellent service. One time it was very early and they didn't have the fajita veggies ready. She jump and made them on the slot. It was a little more wait but it was delicious and she showed that she wanted to serve good food. Other places they would just say, sorry we don't have them right now. So thumbs up to that Qdoba employee.”
