“I have celiac disease and can only go to a very few select coffee shops, and this Starbucks on Fort Riley is the safest place for me to go. I have even tried the one out in town and have gotten sick but I HAVE NEVER had any issues at this one here on fort Riley. The staff is absolutely amazing, sweet and wonderful. “So this place cooks/makes the food in front of you. So do not expect it to be super fast especially in lunch rush. The staff is super sweet but either forgetful or neglectful. Contradicting, I know. But 3 times an order has been messed up, add jalapeños? None added, no tomatoes or lettuce had extra, bone in wings? Got boneless and not the flavor I asked for or my ranch. But when it is done right it is soooo good! It is had to stay mad at the staff because they are so nice. Just check your meal before walking away.”

“I ate in the dining room with a friend last Wednesday, 5/6/26. We received exceptional assistance from Matthew at the cash register. He had suggestions for the best deal and foods we might not have considered. He seemed happy to be helping and to have something to do. The dining room was very clean and the food was wonderful.
Recently, I have had a few more occasions to eat at the JC restaurant. Every experience has been positive. The drive through staff is lighthearted and seem to appreciate the business no matter how close to close..... The one time an item was left out of the bag, I went back through the drive-through and the manager was fabulous!!!!!! I find it to have the most consistent good food AND service of the fast food restaurants in town.
It is nice to know where quality food and friendly - smiling - joking staff is the standard!”

“Doug wizard the 2nd is the best employee ever.

I ordered a coffee called “The Doug” and my life has never been the same.

Within three sips, my student loans disappeared, my ACFT score went up 75 points, and my car stopped making that weird noise I’ve been ignoring for six months. By the fourth sip, I was pretty sure I could hear colors.

The Doug is so powerful that it allegedly cured my neighbor’s seasonal allergies, taught his dog to do taxes, and solved world hunger for approximately 17 minutes. Scientists are reportedly studying it, but every time they get close, Doug just hands them another cup and they forget what they were doing.

I can’t legally confirm that The Doug cures cancer, reverses aging, or grants immortality, but I can confirm that after drinking one, I felt capable of fighting a bear, balancing the federal budget, and finally understanding Army property accountability.

10/10. If Doug wizard the 2nd ever stops making this coffee, civilization as we know it may collapse.”

“Highwind Brewing Company is a great spot with something for everyone! I love that there are two restaurants under one roof—one serving pizza, pasta, bowls, and salads, and the other offering classic American favorites like burgers, wings, and nachos.

The pretzel bites were warm, soft, and perfectly crisp on the outside, and the queso was absolutely delicious. The Bacon Brew Burger was juicy, rich, and packed with sweet, savory flavor. Both pizzas were excellent—the Flint Hills Burn had the perfect balance of sweet and salty plus a little heat, and the Meats Pizza was loaded with flavor. Even the fries were crispy and well-seasoned. Their beer selection was great, too! You do need to go order at the counter and wait for your buzzer to go off.

The atmosphere was casual, welcoming, and the perfect place to relax on a Friday night. We’ll definitely be back!”
