“Great lunch on the way to the Volland Store. The kids enjoyed tamales, but be careful if they ask for rice/beans because its a lot of really good food. Marco is a great waiter with a good sense of humor and he took good care of us. Try the 3 tacos with cilantro and onions -> get corn tortillas. The carnitas was the best I’ve had. There’s a nice playground in town for the kiddos just east of the restaurant and you can walk off your meal in the antique shop across the street or the museum just down the block.“
“One of my favorite places in town! Always great service. Food is phenomenal every time! I love that they’ve made their outdoor patio available during the colder months with heaters, wind proofing, blankets, etc. It’s aggieville so parking is limited and there might be a short wait, but it’s always worth it. Take out is also super easy and quick! We love Lucha!Do not skip the raspberry bean dip appetizer!“
“We've been to Frida's twice and between all of our family members we've tried at least 10 different things. Everything is amazing. Some unique items on the menu, loads of meat options and options to customize your meal. And on top of good food the service has been amazing both times! It's my new favorite Mexican restaurant in town!!!“
“Really good street tacos! So far the best in Manhattan, but do have another place to try out. I base my opinion on the places I've tried in border towns in Mexico.Wheelchair accessibility: You can wheel in the back door right up to a table.“
“I've been eating here regularly since they took over from Antojitos Mexicana del Sol and I have always had the best experience! This guy is the best! So friendly and the food is the bomb! I always get tacos so can't speak to anything else but I eat here about once a week and it's delicious, fast and affordable every single time! Eat here!“
“This place is wonderful. The head lady is incredible and loves to make her customers happy. Always on point in making sure you have everything you need and makes incredible food. I go here at least once every other week and I have never been disappointed.“
“Absolutely love this place! When my husband asks what I want for dinner… it’s El Patrón. Queso, Taco locos & a margarita is my go to order and it’s delicious every time! Also their patio during the summer.. chef’s kissDietary restrictions: My friend can’t eat gluten, dairy, or pork & they have plenty of options for her :)“
“We have gone here for breakfast and dinner, and I can’t decide which meal I enjoyed more!! It was quite perfect for small intimate moments. I think it took us all of 45 minutes to conclude our meal. 2 people for less than $40 is currently unheard of, yet somehow they did it! AND IT TASTES AMAZING!! We’ll be coming back!“
“my girlfriend and i decided to try this place and we loved it, so much that we went back a few more times and they haven't disappointed at all. the food is great and the workers are very friendly, they gave both me and my girlfriend extra food this visit. this is definitely one of the better places in town to “
“Hillside cafe is one of the rare places in Manhattan where the food is proportional to the money you spend on it. They always have great friendly service, have generous food servings, and have high quality menu items. Their atmosphere and decorations are very unique, with Hispanic knick-nacks and a fish tank. I would definitely recommend it for a casual dinner with the family or friends.“
“Chile rellenos was delicious. The beef burritos were awful. There was no flavor to the beef and They were just covered in mole sauce and it was just too much so the first part was great. Second part not so great service could have been a lot better but overall it's a nice place to go. My friend had chimichangas said it was a nice meal but not above standardParking: I didn't see any handicap parking and there are steps into the restaurant with no other access for somebody that might be in a wheelchair, I thought that was pretty much standard but maybe not in this area“
“Customer service is extremely important to me. You can tell when someone is "just trying to get a tip " and when someone genuinely cares. When speaking with Cam, you can tell right away that she is a good person, inside and out! It is far and few between finding people like her. I hope that your boss and employees appreciate you!! You're a keeper and definitely should be one who trains new employees to show them how it's done!!! Keep up the good work Cam?“
“This is the Mexican restaurant to outdo all the other Mexican restaurants in town. First let's talk decor, this place is decked to the walls with amazing colorful chairs, tables walls and more. The wait staff was incredibly friendly both times we have been here and very attentive to our needs! The food is outstanding to say the least and it doesn't even begin to capture how delicious it is! The flavor of the dishes, the chips and salsa and queso are perfect to fill all of your cravings for authentic Mexican food. What would a review be without talking about the bathrooms, they are clean! Overall our dinner and experience here were top notch and exceeded our expectations. We can't wait to eat here again and again.“
“Guero Loco is a truck located next to The Hat on Laramie across from the new Aggieville parking garage. Literally, "hats off" to these hardworking chefs who have been serving delicious food in the worst weather conditions lately. The temperatures have been low, wind high, and precipitation unpredictable. We came last week for dinner. Eric R. and I ordered birria ramen and a birria burrito (with a side of the broth for dipping the burrito). Cynthia A. and Aaron A. ordered the same plus 2 birria tacos. It was quite cold outside as we waited, and we saw door dashers come up and realized this must be why people use door dash. Both of our orders came out except the tacos were missing, and they only provided forks for the soup. We asked for spoons, only getting one at a time, so perhaps they need to put spoons out with the forks for soup eaters (or they assume people take the food home to eat perhaps). It was so cold that all of us went to our cars in the garage while Aaron A. waited for the tacos to be made. Then we drove to the K-State Union garage (one garage leads to another...!) so we could eat inside the Union and stay warm. I really enjoyed the ramen which was deeply satisfying on a cold day, and our friends raved about the tacos. I tasted the burrito and it was good, but I think after seeing our friends' happiness with the tacos, I have to try those next!“
“Brought my friend who has never been to Carlos. She agreed. AMAZING FOOD. The service was fantastic and we even got to take our salsa home in to-go cups! Truly could not ask for more. ? I’m so happy that one of the remaining Kansas Carlos O’Kelly’s is THRIVING. Give it a try!“
“Legit mexican food in the heart of Kansas. Order at the counter, they bring the food to you. Great salsa bar with various salsa, pickled onions, carrots, cilantro and peppers. They can sign you in as a guest at the lodge within the building for cheap beers. Super impressed, must do for “
