I was at the store yesterday (4/10/24) to pick up an order for Uber Eats. It was 10:10 pm when I got there. I opened the door and one girl (they were 2), but one of those girls just gave me the dirty look. I even didn’t know the store was closed, once Uber had guided me to there to pick up a client order. And she was saying impatiently: “we are closed”. And I just showed her my phone trying to understand the misunderstanding, the reason why Uber sold something to a client with the store closed. She even didn’t want to help, or check what I was saying, I am new with Uber, didn’t know it happens. And she kept saying “we close at 10 pm”. I was like “there is another store around? Maybe I got the wrong one”. I just wanted to do my job. And I am complaining not because of anything she said so far, but what comes next is the reason why I am complaining. She said: “WHAT LANGUAGE DO YOU SPEAK?”. Her coworker can be my testimony. It’s so rude, I was just speechless. She is one young girl, but already so rude, so sad doing this job, maybe she is just too sad about work with customers. I am an immigrant, I felt she was mocking me about my accent, or trying to make me feel bad because I was there 10 minutes after the store was closed. That was not my fault. I am just trying to work.
