Used to Be Great — Now a Major Disappointment

I don’t usually leave bad reviews, but this place has gone severely downhill. If i can save one person from getting sick from eating this food my post has served its purpose.

This restaurant used to be one of our go-to spots, but the quality and management have completely changed for the worse. Being someone who has worked in food/food management previously its very evident it is a management problem especially if they are alright with the quality of food that was served today.

My wife (who is 37 weeks pregnant) picked up lunch for us- we ordered tacos. How hard is it to make tacos, right?... WRONG!

1. The meat was about 80% fat.

2. The cilantro was old and clearly shouldn’t have been served.

3. The queso was basically watered-down cheese.

4. I brought the food back in person, and instead of apologizing or making it right, the manager argued with me about giving a refund - and we still haven’t been refunded the tip for food we didn’t even eat.

5. Worst of all, they were comfortable serving this to a (37wk) pregnant woman.

It’s sad to see how far this place has fallen. A simple apology and some effort to make things right would have went a long way, instead I got push back over an obvious issue. We won’t be back unless management changes and the quality improves. There are plenty of other Mexican restaurants that actually care about their food and their customers. We will give them our business from now on.

The food here is delicious! My fav is the burrito gigante. The wait is almost non-existent unless you come when they are very busy. My family eats here at least twice a week.

Holy cannoli. I eat Mexican food once a week in KC. This is hands down the best place I've been to.

I had the Fajitas Tapatias. The flavor was amazing. The chorizo gave a very good different flavor. The service was great, and the atmosphere was very friendly. Recommended it to try it

Eaten here, Great food, prompt service
Nice and clean and deceptive and festive
environment to relax and enjoy a good meal. They have alcohol there as well. I don’t drink alcohol so they have a nice unsweetened tea and several other non-alcohol choices. This is not a restaurant you pull up to and impress your friends by the looks of the building, but if you wanna please your friends, take them there to eat. Everything’s good.
