They always close early before they say they do. This company is not going to last long if a recession happens. You're better off going to Shang's Tea House or Dragon Tea in Kansas City; at least they stay open during their business hours.

We came on a Sunday during business hours cash in hand and the door was locked guy was sitting at the cash register on a computer that never looked up. Seems like they had a sign on door that reads point of sale network is down cash sales only;) bummer no big deal we still got to go to Sisters of Sound during spring break..

I had heard about Ellen's and also looked it up quite a few times. Finally was able to go today. I have some pretty high standards for my plants and plant selections. Also, I love when the people/store you are wanting to buy plants from actually knows what they are talking about. Not only is there a great selection of plants, the staff is knowledgeable on both the plants and the teas. The teas are not your basic, generic slections. They were fun to talk to and I'll definitely go back! ? recommend.

Visited Ellen’s Planted Tea for the first time yesterday, and I will be back!! Lovely, calm atmosphere, beautiful plants all around displayed in a way that makes sense, and a nice selection of tea you can drink in the store or take out. I ordered a pot of assam, and it was served in a sparkling glass tea pot and real cups and saucers. Megan’s steeping suggestions were spot on. She also has a good selection of herbs and teas to buy in bulk. I can’t wait to come back and to send friends and clients here. Ellen’s Planted Tea was a spot where I could take some deep breaths of clean air, and feel refreshed and relaxed.

In from out of town and went to aggieville. So many cool shops so I knew there had to be a tea shop somewhere. I googled and found this gem. I walked with with a list of Ingredients of a tea I can no longer purchase. Michael was so helpful and 25 minutes later, he had the blend perfected and also steeped up a few cups for us to try. You want a knock your lights out tea to help sleep, ask for the LaDonna sleepy blend. He logged the recipe for future reference. Outstanding customer service and quality ingredients. Thank you Michael.

I love the plants and the tea here! It's an excellent place for tea beginners and experts! The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable, Ellen herself is very cool and can answer any questions! They sell to go cups of tea, tea leaves (original blends and loose leaf types like Assam, Oolong, Yerba Mate, Darjeeling, Ceylon, etc) and herbs and spices and local honey! They also sell tea pots and steepers and it's a very lovely and chill place!I bought a few types of tea and I'm excited to try them at home! A friend recommends the Ellen's Oolong blend that has a cinnamon finish!10/10 would support this local business again!

It was so adorable inside and the worker was so kind, they even offered to re-steep our pot of delicious tea for free! Such a calming environment just to sip on some tea, definitely will be going back.
