When the stressors of college bring you to pull an all-nighter, Hunam Express is right there with you. Order any entree and you'll get enough food to feed you twice for what it costs to eat once at any fast food joint of vastly lesser quality. Order by the end of its fairly generous closing time, and you can have both dinner and a meal for when you start to see snakes in the wee hours of 4 am after over 24 unbroken hours of hard-fought consciousness. Try their general Tso's Chicken and chow mein - It's delicious enough to raise you from the despair of rapidly approaching deadlines and the threats of those darned snakes!

Hunan Express is on top of my lists for restaurants in Manhattan. Their service is always fast and nice. The food is great. I will be back for sure.

It feels like a hole in the wall but it's a great spot to bring your friends for some good food

Hunan is the only place in town we order Chinese food from, every time it gets delivered it is steaming hot and fresh. The General Tso’s Chicken is amazing and my go to dish, it’s the perfect level of spice every time.

All I wanted to do was switch out the lo mein noodles for chow mei fun noodles and I got a plate of plain noodles. Just because I wanted to switch noodles.. I did not get any of my sides.. No egg drop soup.. no egg roll and no fried rice.. food was bland and plain.. it was the House Lo mein lunch special.. and all I wanted was different noodles.. Food was horrible!!

I gave these guys one more chance and I had my last straw with these guys. I called the lady to ask for food prices so I can go ahead and make her order. She starts speaking in Chinese then she tells me it's going to be an hour and 30 minute wait for delivery I told her that's fine then she goes ahead and hangs up the phone on me. I tried calling back no response and this is 3 hours before they close. I really hope the city shuts this place down !!

We order take out all the time. Don't know if they got a new cook or switched up recipes or what happened but the last two times the crab rangoon tasted awful, the general tso chicken had no spiciness to it at all, the sweet and sour sauce tasted like straight up ketchup.. normally the food is great and you get a lot. I really hope it was a new cook that didn't know what they were doing and we don't have to find a new take out place.

This happened a while ago. I ordered delivery and when I opened it, a roach scuttled out of the bag. I really hope the cleanliness has improved but I will never eat here again. :(

Ordered hunams pepper steak and pork fried rice combo with egg roll and egg drop soup. So disappointed the beef and sauce and veggies have a metallic taste the pork fried rice tastes like soap, egg drop soup is tasteless the only thing decent was the egg roll. I paid $20 and change for garbage.
Have always loved the food. Always fresh and delicious! Ordered super late one night and deliver service came through! Food was superb as usual! Super greatful! Awesome service!

We’ve been going to this place off and on for years. We had a bad experience last year and hadn’t been back. I went and ordered the empress chicken like I used to, to see if anything had changed. It hasn’t. The chicken is like jerky, dry and so tough. The sauce was thick and gritty. Like they used too much cornstarch. The lo mein and egg rolls were the only thing edible in our entire order. So disappointing. There isn’t any good Chinese in Manhattan now that happy family is gone.
