I was there for my birthday party and I loved it when the cook did a trick shot I was almost touching the wall which was farthest away and I was probably about 10 ft away from the table. It is the best fun I had, I would go back there if I could.

Our server Shelby was super sweet and willing to double-check what was safe for gluten intolerance so I could enjoy my meal without worrying so much about getting sick ❤️Dietary restrictions: I was able to get the raw tuna roll, dynamite roll, and Philadelphia roll (with no tempura flake), and the miso soup. They had GF soy sauce, and their spicy mayo is GF.

Far better experience than I had expected. Great atmosphere and the cooks were hilarious. Will dine here many more times in the future.Kid-friendliness: Fantastic fun for the family especially if your kids are pyros.

I will definitely go again. You get a lot of food for your money. I have to give 5 stars all around. We went around 7pm, it was very busy but seating didn't take long at all. However you can make reservations.

We arrived at the restaurant this last Sunday evening at roughly 6:10-6:15. Was told the wait for the dining side was roughly 30 min. We waited an hour before I checked on the wait and was told we were next up. The hostess said they were needing a larger table (6 persons). Those tables got filled by other guests and we were left waiting longer. After another 30 min our family had enough and left the restaurant. All the other guests around us on the waitlist had already been seated. It will be quite some time before we visit again, if at all.
The food was okay, but my daughter and I just weren't that happy with it. Everything just tasted a little off. Great service and atmosphere, we may give it a try another time.

Leaving this review for Brittany. She was the only server running the entire place (4 FULL hibachi tables, 4 tables in the back, AND bartending). Felt so bad for her being put under that sort of stress and no help, but she handled it like a rockstar and still gave amazing service. She remembered us and our orders from our last visit and she truly cares about the customer’s experience!! Umis is so lucky to have her!!! Highly suggest asking for her to be your server when you come here!!

The customer service we experienced from Sophia was very unprofessional - it was two groups at our table she colorized us in groups far as our race . Everyone at the table felt the same way . Talked to the manager on duty we explained to her what happened her exact words was “I don’t think she would do that she will talk to her” the manager tone so insensitive to our concerns of this situation .

Awesome sushi!!! Was a bit nervous cuz I'm spoiled with San Diego sushi!!! These guys KILLED it!!! I said I like great FRESH sushi!!! Did omakase style!!! Marlon and Jason and mark and Frankie did awesome!!! Great protein roll!!! Jackson did a wonderful job too!!! Very impressed with the quality!!!
