We tried the special, it was a Jefa burrito. It was good but needed extra sauce . We added a bit of extra salsa/sauce and it was perfect.
Shrimp tacos had breading on the shrimp which I was not expecting. (I wish it stated that on the menu- if it did say breaded shrimp, I did not see it, as I don’t like breading). If you like breaded shrimp they were perfect. Despite this, we had a great time!
Atmosphere was fun, festive, clean. the chips and salsa were some of the best I’ve had at a Mexican restaurant !! Everyone had fun!!! Great value. This was my favorite meal we have eaten out in a while.
I wish they would add Hawaiian pork tacos to the menu. Then I would probably come every day ;)

Service was incredible:) the beans were weirdly sweet, not very good unfortunately. Tasted like too much nutmeg or star anise? Not sure. It wasn’t what we expected though. The meat also had an unexpected sweetness. The roasted corn dip was Incredible and we would definitely come back to get that and try the tacos.

Tried this for the first time tonight, it was AMAZING. The service was great, our waitress was Briana and she was super attentive making sure that we had everything we needed at all times. The food tasted fantastic and came out 5/10 minutes after ordering. I highly recommend the mojito and the street corn dip!

Food and service were great. The only knock was cleanliness. Tables and floors need to be cleaned better. Not a fan of the restaurants going to the tiny street tacos either but that seems to be the trend everywhere. Not going to penalize the establishment for following suit, just wish we would go back to the regular tortilla size, especially at the price points.

McPherson, KS. Holy COW. The absolute BEST fajitas we have ever had. Like a dance party in your mouth. The salsa was so fresh and refreshing… delicious. We got the cheesecake chimichanga with raspberry for dessert to go. We got to the truck and it smelt so good so we took a bite and melted into it. If I wasn’t full I’d order a second plate. They are from ElPaso, started in a food truck, and made home base here I think they said a year ago and the boss lady has it going on in that kitchen. 🤤 we’re from Waco, and trying to plan the next roadtrip through here just to eat here. If you live here and have not eaten here you should be ashamed of yourself because you’re missing out.

The best burritos in McPherson! I recommend the lean and mean burrito with asada and their special hot salsa.
The food was excellent. Red sauce on the burrito was very spicy. The spices in all of the food have great flavor. The upcharge for the sauces was more than the menu showed. If you're on a tight budget, ask so you're not surprised.

First & last time eating there.....the hamburger street taco I ordered had so much grease on it I had to use a large napkin to absorb it...(obviously they didn't drain the grease from the hamburger)...then the carnitas street taco I also ordered was dry & tough.....(wasn't tender or juicy like I've had in the past at other Mexican restaurants) So disappointed ☹️ the meat had no seasoning or flavor either!!!

We found La Jefa as a pink taco truck at the motorcycle rally in Marquette, KS. We were so happy when they opened up a restaurant in McPherson! The food is always fantastic, great service and at a fair price. This place is a must try! We make the trip from Salina just to eat there!
