“I came to Kansas City over the weekend and experienced the delight that is your restaurant. If I ever get back there you’ll see me again. The food was amazing, but I loved the words on your menu and the whole vibe that comes from locally sourced goods. Your menu spoke of kindness and community. I accidentally left my phone in your bathroom when I left. Since we were on our way back to Chicago it was definitely something I needed to find and it could have been a completely stressful experience. It wasn’t. You weren’t just serving up food. I went out to the car so my friend could call my son and have him find my iPhone the thing but we never got to that. A lovely gentleman in a blue track jacket came knocking gleefully at the window. They had found it and he was so happy to tell me. When I came back in to get it your restaurant was packed and it was very busy and yet I felt like every person there had just stopped everything for a moment to find my phone. The excitement when they gave it back to me was amazing. It was a truly beautiful experience. I totally had the New York omelette, but what I was really ordering was the “cultivate kindness” printed right there on the menu. It was even better than the food and that’s saying something because those rosemary potatoes were the bomb diggity ;) Thank you 💙♥️💙“

“I’ve heard of Equal Minded in the past, but recently a friend hosted an event there and it was great! The space was easy to set up in, the coffee and snacks were great & the customer service. Since then, if I am in the area and I need to get work done, it’s becoming more of a place to pop into. The more I get to know about what they offer and the small businesses they support, the more I enjoy becoming a customer there. I also really like that they have some Sugar Free options & I really like their Honey Lavender Matcha too!“

“I had the Red White and Blue Waffle with a side of bacon. The blueberry waffle is topped with strawberries, bananas, with a generous portion of whipped cream.
This waffle was delicious, and the fruit tasted like it was just picked - so fresh you could smell the bananas as soon as she set my plate down.
The bacon was perfectly cooked, imo. Tender crisp.
Our waitress Marcie was very friendly. They were busy, but it didn't take long to get our food.
I would recommend stopping in here for a tasty breakfast. Marcie works every Sunday, so we will definitely go back on a Sunday!“

“My husband and I took three of our kids to this location yesterday for lunch. We’d never been to a First Watch before, but we knew to expect excellent quality food with a healthy, comforting twist; right up my alley! WOW! We were SO impressed! From our initial greeting coming into the restaurant all the way to the end of our visit, we were treated with happy smiles, incredible customer service, prompt wait times, and delicious meals. Our kids enjoyed chocolate chip pancakes with sausage and bacon. Their protein selections were unmatched with appropriately larger portions than most, enough to satisfy two growing boys! They couldn’t say enough about the flavor and quality. My husband and I tried dishes including hash potatoes, fresh market veggies, beautifully cooked eggs, and their whole grain toast - that was a treat! As someone who isn’t a fan of toast, in general, making a meal out of this whole grain toast, house-made butter and preserves would be easy to do. Lovely atmosphere, obvious camaraderie among the staff, fun culture, exceptional product! We left happy and eager to experience First Watch again very soon. “Food was great. My only issue is a very slight mix up. I ordered avocado toast to go on my toast with my omelet. Instead a secondary whole plate came out. It was simple miscommunication, and I did not complain. I simply ate it and paid.

The waitress was so nice and was very quick to take care of everything that I did not want to be a problem. I am sure they would have fixed it if I had said something.“

“I meant to write a review earlier, but I was thinking again about our dog, Noodle, that passed and remembered that I needed to write it. Our sweet Noodle had to be put to sleep and afterward my family just wasn't able to go home. We hadn't had breakfast, so we went to this First Watch. When I walked in I told the hostess that we probably wouldn't be the most fun table due to our loss. She was so compassionate and then our waitress also expressed her sympathy for us. All the staff was great, the food was wonderful as usual but the thing that really got us was the card they gave us. Made us all cry. A sweet staff that didn't know us, still showed us empathy and at least 6 of them signed a card that I keep with all Noodles mementos. Thank you for your wonderful staff and we will be back!“

“I failed to post about this the other day. AR’s Breakfast & Brunch is one of the best places for breakfast in town. For those that know me their food is similar to my restaurants in Nashville. They just know me as “the Sysco guy”. I’ll take that! I got the breakfast tacos, but they made them my way with chorizo and jalapeños. It isn’t on the menu that way but it was awesome. Buen provecho!“

“The place was packed and we had to wait a minute for clean tables. The MANAGER came out to clean tables and sweep the floor under both tables. We were quickly waited on by a friendly and efficient waitress. There were 6 women working this shift and all were in top form. Even the 2 cooks were women and that was a new thing to see at WH. The food arrived cooked perfectly and exactly as ordered. Everything was tasty and enjoyable. This is one of the best WH in the area with one of the best teams I've seen working.
