I was so excited when they first opened, and things were great back then, but lately the service has been slow and it has taken ages to order or get refills. At other restaurants I’ll order a few drinks, but I usually only have the chance to order one here. I thought eating inside would be better than the patio, but they’re pretty similar. I do enjoy the food but I had to stop going because I was getting frustrated with the service. :(

We’ve never been here before, so decided to try a new place. What a disappointment. We walked in and the host (who was also our waiter) started to seat us. We asked if we could sit outside and for some reason, this made him very angry. He shook his head in disgust and was clearly upset we asked to sit outside. The whole time, he never spoke except to clarify our order. When we were finished, he didn’t thank us for coming in or tell us to have a good night. Food was one step up from Taco Bell. My cheese enchiladas were very paltry. Next time we’ll go somewhere where we feel welcomed.

I didn’t know anything about this place going in, but I do have a song on my playlist called Campesino by the Gipsy Kings (no clue what the lyrics mean!). On a whim, my son and I stopped in for dinner tonight after I had business across the street, and I’m glad we did.

The restaurant was very clean, the service was friendly and attentive (and in my book, service is king), and the prices were reasonable — right in line with what you’d expect these days. Portion sizes were good, too.

No complaints here. It’s a little bright inside, but honestly, that just highlighted how spotless they keep the place.

The food was very tasty. The mixed drinks were also very tasty, not watered down. The restaurant is clean. The staff is helpful. My only reason for not giving 5 stars was due to the distracting noise. The place could use a little more sound dampening.

We were in the area so we popped in for a late lunch so, not very busy. The parking lot is very busy as it serves many retail spots and the parking spots are narrow.
Initial reaction was very positive. Very clean, wide open view, nice matching heavy wood furniture, great artwork, nice bar and several TV's.
Service was very good. Attentive and eager to provide a positive experience. Slight language barrier with server but we worked through it.
The food was so-so.
The chips were of the thicker variety (not our favorite) and the regular salsa was a bit bland. I asked for their spicy version and found the heat perfect (I've toned down my need for hot heat as I've gotten older so some may still find it is not hot enough) but it also has a bit too much smoke flavor.
The main dish we shared was a 2 burrito plate that consisted of a shredded chicken burrito and beef/bean burrito. We added white cheese sauce over the top instead of the standard red sauce (that was an undisclosed upcharge of $2.50). We asked if we could have red on one and white sauce on the other and the server indicated that the chefs can't/don't do that. No biggie. BTW, they can't/won't put one burrito on one plate and the other burrito on a different plate either. Again, no biggie. But I will say, for the restaurants that do this as a service/convenience do not go unappreciated!
The chicken in the burrito was very bland and seems as though no seasoning was used. Same for the beef burrito. It seems like they are relying on the toppings (cheese sauce, lettuce, tomato and sour cream) to fill out the flavor profile for the dish. Give us some authentic flavor please. Lastly, the flour tortillas were weirdly chewy. Hard to cut through and hard to chew.
Campesino is what I would catoragize as a next level Mexican restaurant compared to your run of the mill Mexican joints. The atmosphere is nicer, the appointments are nicer, presentation of food MIGHT be nicer, etc. However, prices are higher than run of the mill joints. I feel like you're paying for the atmosphere but getting the same or lessor tasting food.

This has got to be one of the worst Mexican restaurants of all time. The quality of the food is quite poor and not good. If you want to end up with a chronic illness...i.e. high blood pressure, end stage renal disease, NAFLD, and a host of other health issues then this is the place for you. If not, start cooking at home and leave restaurants like this alone.

The atmosphere is ok although the lighting could be a little dimmer. The space is too open and bright to feel comfortable.
The staff are polite enough. But a couple of the waiters just seemed depressed to be there. There were a few oversights like forgetting part of a kid’s order and not bringing water after we asked.
An issue with this place is that there are some dubious food/flavor/authenticity choices being made. The horchata had a sickly artificial flavor. The mango juice was not juice. The salsa is a very thin puree. The chips are also kind of off (too thick?) The grilled shrimp side was really good! The fiesta salad tasted good, but the presentation was terrible. If you are going to put a picture of the dish in the menu, it would be less jarring to have the dish look like the picture. Maybe drinks and
Not sure. Maybe this place is just so new it hasn’t hit its stride, but I hope the flavors and the atmosphere depend.
