We like Jose Peppers and Cactus Grill and have been to several locations. We wanted some Mexican food and had never been to the Mission location. Our servuce was great. Our food was great. We really liked the layout of this store and may make it our favorite. Its a big place and was very busy but we had no complaints.

I hate to be this person - but I’m leaving this in hopes that.. I don’t know, a manager or owner see this and cares. You are understaffing your restaurant if a bartender doesn’t have time to be attentive to the 3 people sitting at their bar. This is the second time with the same bartender and manager working and zero bar guests that I’ve come in just to be completely ignored. It’s happy hour, and your bar is empty. Don’t you want to try and over feed us and let us have more than one round? It’s 4 PM, we didn’t show up 5 minutes before your HH ends. Foods adequate and we love a HH but margs are typically weak and service continues to be atrocious recently.

I truly believe this is the best one in the KC metro. I visit Jose Peppers often and most are still good but this one the food is always amazing. And the service is always great and they are possibly the fastest restaurant I have been to. This location specifically I will go out of my way if I'm in the area to eat lunch there even if I wasn't planning on going out for lunch

I absolutely love the Parmesan and encrusted shrimp quesadilla? Every time I come to town I have this. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. There are lots of TVs around the bar to catch the games. A lot of times people will rate a Mexican restaurant based on its salsa. I would say the salsa is very good and you can request the hot salsa as well which is excellent if you like hot.

Used to be a favorite, but unfortunately the quality of the food has slowly declined. Nowadays the burritos feel a little deflated, the rice is always too cronchy, and the fajitas isn't enough to split for two people. They try to trick you into thinking it's fresh by serving it on a searing hot dinner plate, but this only further dries out the rice and beans. Hate to say it, but there are much better options elsewhere, especially for this price.
