My wife and I come here whenever we want an elevated cocktail experience and chill vibes. Kiera and Mad (not sure on spelling) are the creative directors. They make fantastic classic cocktails and their original menu is absolutely outstanding. 20/10 cocktails.
Space and atmosphere: intimate, dim, quiet jams and able to hear each other talk. Amazing for a date night.

This was my first time here. As such, I was hoping for a warm welcome. I found a comfortable place to sit (couch and chairs) and have a conversation with a friend. We had made a reservation in advance. When I sat down I was immediately told that if a larger party came in she, the bartender, would have to move us. Not a pleasant way to greet a new customer I have to say. That aside, the bartender did make a drink from a recipe I had on my phone and was accomodating in that way. Since she did go out of her way to do this I awarded Primrose 4 stars and not the 3 I was first unclined to give. I suggest larger parties make a reservation in advance. I suggest if you don't and you come in with a larger party, that you push together the smaller tables. It does not seem fair to guests to have to be moved. It left a sour experience for me and I will not be back.

The Primrose in Mission offers a nice, relaxed atmosphere with a decent selection of cocktails. The interior has a cozy, upscale feel, and the drinks are well-crafted and flavorful. However, while it's a pleasant spot for a drink, there are definitely other cocktail bars in Kansas City that stand out more.
The menu is solid but not particularly unique, and the vibe, while enjoyable, doesn’t quite set it apart from other places in the city. Service is generally good, but the overall experience doesn't quite reach the level of some of KC's more notable cocktail spots.
Overall, The Primrose is a fine choice for a casual evening out, but if you're looking for a more distinctive or memorable cocktail experience, you might want to explore some of the other standout bars in Kansas City.
