So good! I had the mint + chocolate. The best mint ice cream I’ve ever had! I was so surprised. It actually tasted like mint… I love mint. Actual mint!
I also had the lavender honey. I have had so many lavender ice cream flavors, and this one was by FAR the best mix I’ve had.
I wish I lived in KC again. I wish they had a non-dairy version for my wife to try. But until then… It’ll be just for me to enjoy.

Betty Rae's Ice Cream is a popular Kansas City ice cream shop known for its hand-made, hand-scooped ice cream and unique flavor combinations. What i figured out is the ice cream is all hand-made and hand-scooped, using fresh, local ingredients.
I had the classic Chocolate Brownie and my partner had S'mores which had the burnt marshmallow live made by the employee right infront of us. Both the icecream taste really fresh compared to the other icecreams we generally have from Wholefoods or Price Chopper.
Regarding franchise Betty Rae's has launched a franchise program and is expanding to other cities in the region, such as Omaha, Nebraska; St. Louis, Missouri; Wichita, Kansas; Bentonville, Arkansas; Nashville, Tennessee; Denver, Colorado; Oklahoma City; and Tulsa, Oklahoma. The first franchise location opened in Omaha in September.
In addition to scoops, Betty Rae's offers waffle cones, ice cream sandwiches, sundaes, and ice cream pies. They also have a traveling ice cream truck for events.
Delicious variety of flavors, great for a hot summer day. Heard about Betty Raes on KCTV5 and was excited to try them out w my family.

If I could I’d rate this place a big fat zero! Ice cream wasn’t great, they were out everything, portions were so small for a $9 sundae, and the place was a sticky disaster. What a disappointment! I could have purchased sundaes from McDonald’s for my entire family for $8, instead I spent $30 for ice cream that wasn’t even as good. I don’t know why people put up with horrible products and horrible service! Two thumbs down!!!!!
