We ordered the chicken and rib platter. The ribs were tough and did not seem to be fresh. The cornbread was dry. Service was def not with a smile, To top it off she told every person “bye thanks for coming in” with the exception of us. I thought that was a little rude. Anyway I will give them a chance to redeem themselves but that will be it. The Barq’s red cream soda was pleasant surprise though..
Yum! This is down the street from us and we've done take out several times, and eaten there once. Service is always good and the food is delicious. My fave? The BBQ nachos!

Probably one and done....Ordered two insane sandwiches with sides. Food was just OK nothing special....For the insane sandwiches I anticipated it to be much larger than it was. Insane was actually small. The sides were again very expensive to the amount of food. Taste was OK but I guess I had a bad taste in my mouth from the total bill. Like I said One and done for me....

Always a super meal and sometimes a surprise added to change it up, a big family favorite ???, gonna try the outdoor setting when the weather gets warmer for good. Love your grits wish you could add fried green tomatoes occasionally, they are so hard to find around here. We've had fantastic food here in the past but today was just SAD. I ordered the 2 meat meal (turkey, sausage, red potato salad) and my wife had the pulled chicken sandwich. Her chicken was 4 large chunks of chicken that were as dry as the Sahara. Her potato salad might as well have been raw. My turkey and potato salad were good but the sausage was virtually flavorless and the portions given for $17 was pathetic. We weren't given forks, butter, or bbq sauce. The cornbread was cold and the bread pudding was so hard I couldn't bite in to it.

Tucked away in a small shopping center, decent location. Inviting atmosphere, lousy when taking order soft spoken and not inviting, fast service for the 10 others that were in there, however the food was Luke warm thrown together. The (insane) burnt ends sandwich is what I ordered (thought it would be piled on) due to the price increase from normal sandwich. When I received it I could count maybe 6 cubed pieces of meat I ordered a topper on the sandwich of onion (strings) although loaded with them to make the sandwich appear bigger the onion rings were also cold as if the whole sandwich was pulled from the fridge and put in microwave for 20 seconds flat, the bun was dry and kinda stale, thank god for bbq sauce to drench the bread in to moisten it up. Over all do not recommend and don’t plan to return.

I’ve been to many BBQ places in KC and got to experience this place while they catered a wedding. The food was amazing at the wedding. I wanted to try it again so I went there tonight. Well I was really disappointed. The person taking my order was frigid to say the least. And the system they used asked for a tip before I ever got my food! lol. I ordered burnt ends with Cole slaw. About 24 min after my food was ready. I was called to get it myself. Well the burnt ends were very good and did not have much flavor at all. Cole slaw was ok. The corn bread was ice cold as well. I don’t see a microwave nearby or I would have gladly taken advantage. The plate was not very presentable compared to their competitors in the area. Their BBQ sauce was very sweet with little flavor as well. The “Not So” Crazy Good Eats was well…not at all good.
Ordering food and eating wouldn’t be so bad if the attitude and behavior of the staff didn’t ruin the atmosphere. The bashing of another business in front of your customers wasn’t necessary. It doesn’t make your business any better. But when your customers have to listen to the owner and staff going off, it’s not my kind of place. I have no idea what got you ruffled, but the image it portrays to your customers is disgusting. Clearly the owner needs some anger management.*Updated to add…It was Bruce and definitely your staff. Your lunch staff specifically. With their faces pressed against the window, while bashing the business. I know what I saw.

I received three ribs that combined would have made one. The chicken was ok, a little on the dry side and my fries were OVERLY salted. Sad to say I guess I won’t return.

Can't drive by this place without stopping if I have the windows down because it smells crazy good! Really good hometown BBQ, full bar, variety of sauces... I haven't had anything that I didn't like! Burnt ends melt in your mouth!Edit: pop-up brunch was fun!!

I so wanted this place to be good need another option for bbq in olathe wife got the ham salad it was not edible! I got the 2meat combo I don’t know what they call it brisket and ham the ham was more of a Thanksgiving ham very thick cut. No smoke whatsoever very bland the brisket no smoke ring no smoke flavor and almost all fat. I bet the amount of actual meat wouldn’t cover a half dollar maybe not even a quarter I will say the fries were really good and sauce was OK.Parking: Parking and find him in front of the building is somewhat confusing
