My first experience at a Ginger Sue's was in Liberty probably 15 years ago. Since I live in Overland Park, I was excited to see that there's one much closer in Olathe. My experience way back then was great and I was hoping it would still be. I was not disappointed! Everything from our great, helpful attentive server, Cody, to the food was the best! They have an Hawaiian style omelette that I was intrigued by when I visited in Liberty and they still have it. It has the somewhat unusual combination of ham, pineapple, cheese and a little bit of toasted coconut in an omelet. It is completely yummy. I try to watch my sodium so I inquired about the seasoned potatoes and learned I could request them without seasoning. They were great. And the biscuit, I've been thinking about it and I'm pretty sure I've never had a better biscuit in my life. Seriously. And my sweetheart, John, who doesn't actually like biscuits tried it and said, "that is great!" I feel that the prices were certainly reasonable for the amount of food that you got (I had a to-go box with essentially half of what I ordered to take home-it was great reheated too) and the quality. I would be very remiss not to also mention the wonderful pumpkin spice latte! Generous serving and it had great coffee flavor and just the right amount of sweetness and spice. Not an overly syrupy drink like you get at some places where they're trying to hide the burnt coffee flavor. This was lovely. The restaurant has a nice light atmosphere with a cheerful ambience. Highly recommend! Not the best photo as I should have taken one before I started eating. However, that is the amount that I did take home with me!

We came here today for the first time in awhile and it was everything we remembered! Wonderful food you can tell is made with love! Everything we have ordered there has been out this world and it doesn’t stop there! Their staff is nothing short of amazing! Super friendly and a warm welcome! Service is fast and attentive. Our server Cody made great suggestions and kept us well tended the entire time. If we lived here we would be regulars! Just found out they other locations near us so we will have to check them out too! Best breakfast spot we have ever been to! Best eggs Benedict I have ever had!

The food was absolutely delicious but my reason for such a low rating is that I got food poisoning from said food and that was not fun so definitely be careful ordering eggs and bacon

Used to be our "go to" breakfast "joint". Quality has suffered & store needs to spruce up. Starting to look shabby. Service still excellent.

I’ve been asking for a gluten free bread option to be added to the Ginger Sues menu for years. I even asked GS herself once and received a very curt answer. I called today after not visiting the restaurant for almost 2 years to ask if an option had been added and at first was greeted in a friendly tone. I asked if she thought GS would ever add it, and the tone immediately turned rude. As soon as I said ok to the receptionists answer she hung up on me. What a RUDE way to communicate with possible customers.

Crepe in the andouille sausage crepe was paper-dry unfortunately. The potatoes were good.
The bathroom had a couple things that were gross. The toilet paper holder was loose and dropped it onto the floor and the toilet seat is chipping like crazy and stained permanently yellow from pee
