This was our first time here. We are from Alabama so we were looking for some local places. This place is wonderful. The food is amazing. I had the Rocket Pig sandwich and definitely would recommend it. It was delicious. The service is top notch too. Taryn was awesome and made the experience even better. She is very good with customer service and making people feel welcome and appreciated. Will definitely come back if we are in Kansas City again.

Ignore the hype. Ribs were dry and almost burnt.
Sausage looked like something out of an Oscar Meyer wiener package.
The brisket was sub par, Arby’s roast beef could definitely compete and I not a big fan of Arby’s. Sauce was not very good (Tasted like a brunt chunk of hockey)but was needed to choke it down.
4 out of 10 at best. I kept thinking Gordon Ramsey was going to jump out and tell us they were closing down for a revamping.

I'll save the wait and just come out and say the ribs are just mediocre. The rub used on them has a funny aftertaste, and the meat itself has a strange texture, as if they boiled them and just seared them on the grill for a few minutes before serving, if you're looking for high quality BBQ ribs then take your search to the next spot on the list
Joe’s did not disappoint. 1/2 pound each of burnt ends, brisket, and pulled pork.
