As I continue my exploration of Ventura's culinary offerings, today's visit led me to Nick the Greek. My companion and I opted for the Falafel Pita and the Souvlaki Plate, with chicken as our protein choice.
For beverages, we selected sparkling water and a soda. The establishment exuded a clean and inviting ambiance, and the attentive staff provided helpful suggestions to alleviate our indecisiveness.
The Souvlaki Plate presented a generous serving size, accompanied by a side salad. The rice was exceptionally flavorful, characterized by a distinctive zest that tantalized the palate. The chicken was remarkable, succulent and tender with an explosion of flavors and spices.
The Falafel was delectable, characterized by its richness and robust flavor. The Greek fries served as an excellent accompaniment to the pita.
Overall, the meal was highly satisfying. Notably, Nick the Greek is proudly locally owned, making it a commendable choice for supporting local businesses. I eagerly anticipate returning to this establishment to further savor its offerings.

I LOVE THIS PLACE SO MUCH. I at first was like 👀 when I saw fries in the Gyro. The food is always consistent. They make rosemary fries taste good. I adore this place so much. I wish there was one a little bit closer to where I live. But I’m more than happy to drive 20-30 minutes just to eat here.
I did not know a quick Gyro place could taste so good.
I recommend the gyro with a side of fries and a soda.

Food was good for the most part. Some of it was overcooked, but most was tasty. Service was a little slow, but this may be because we ordered about 45 mins before they were closing. The restaurant was clean and the cashier was friendly. I would definitely eat here again.

We felt very welcomed and had the best fast-casual restaurant experience.
Our server went above and beyond to give us that great experience - she brought our food to our table, noticed we had forgotten to get flatware and napkins and brought those, too. She even gave us a free slice of baklava and chatted with us while the store was slow. Very much appreciate her warmth and hospitality.
And the food exceeded our expectations, with very large portions, fresh ingredients, and a variety of flavors. A perfect first time - we will definitely be back!

Food was just OK- your standard 90s Mall Gyro. It's double the price of a normal immigrant run Gyro place. Highly overspiced meat with the predominant spice being very cheap garlic powder.
no hummus with a gyro plate, which is odd. When serving our food the person brought it out and spilled half my gyro meat on the table and then didn't do anything or offer to remake it. It took them 15 minutes to make a couple gyro plates so it wasn't worth it. This place is an empty concept that overexpanded out of NorCal with VC money and it shows.
