This has become one of my favorite sushi restaurants the only one in Olathe I like.

Niji has a nice atmosphere, very Japanese feel. Loved it! The sushi was good, not great. I'll go back but try a dish instead. The service was wonderful!

Went for lunch on a weekday. I had the sushi/sashimi combo; my wife and daughter both got bento boxes. The prices were very reasonable and the food was good. The decor is also pretty cool. The service wasn't bad, but not particularly good - our server may have been having a bad day. All in all, I would definitely go back.

If I could I would give negative stars. Came to enjoy a nice dinner with my husband and son and the waitress was so rude. She didn’t greet us. Didn’t even offer a booster or a high chair. We ordered freaking 6 rolls!! And 2 miso soups. And there was no one there. Should’ve been the first red flag on a Saturday at 6:30pm. Then the soup came out first and I asked for an extra bowl and spoon for my son to eat with and she rolled her eyes at me and went to the back to get it. Then when the rolls came out we started to eat. Not once did she come over to ask how our food was or if we needed anything. Then when we were not even half way done with our food she brings the check over and asks if we needed a box. Like we weren’t even half way done with our food. So we packed our sushi and left. And some of the fish was very fishy. Will never go back again. Worst service ever!!

Extremely kind and attentive! I’ve had sushi here twice. My sashimi is always cold and delicious. My raw rolls are normally a tad on the warm side even when I dine in.

Food is real good and service as well. Looked fairly clean.My only Criticism would be a remodel for a little nicer ambiance. They have such Great food and service im willing to overlook the need of a remodel.

Great food if you are looking for above average sushi. There are things I wouldn't order, but the common stuff such as Philly rolls are really good and the prices are hard to beat. A little renovation inside would go a long way for making the atmosphere vibes better but service was great.

Second time getting take out from there today and the food is so fresh and amazing!!! The atmosphere in the restaurant is so inviting and relaxing, I will be eating there in person one day! Would recommend the sashimi and Godzilla roll! My husband loves the chicken teriyaki bento boxes!

We ordered Las Vegas rolls, eel with cucumber sushi, crab Rangoon and beef udon. The last Vegas rolls had too much cream cheese and overpowered the rest of the ingredients. Beef udon was average along with crab Rangoon. The eel with cucumber was the best of what we ordered. We ordered take out and I will say they got our order correct and were on time with pick up. It was our first and last time for us.

Suggestion: label the to go orders / sushi rolls. We ordered $120 worth of sushi rolls to go... They were all packed 2 rolls per container / mixed. We had no idea what we were actually eating / who’s was who’s. Luckily they were all yummy and we just ended up sharing amongst us. Overall the food is great. Just want to be able to reorder if I really like something

One of my favorite things about this restaurant is the decor. Very colorful and lots of those cute good luck cats. Service is always fast and attentive. Highly recommend going in for their lunch specials, which are a great value and so delicious. The shrimp tempura and Philly rolls are so good!
