I am not happy with this restaurant. I ordered a large shrimp for almost $20 and it wasn't full at all.

Iâm extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Panda Express. On 9/29, I came in to order and pay for a catering order in advance. When I arrived today to pick it up, I was helped by Joana, whose attitude and lack of customer service were very off-putting. She seemed uninterested and impatient from the start.
When she asked if I had already paid, I said yesâbut she proceeded to ring me up again, then told me my total. I repeated that I had already paid. She made a few phone calls (no one answered) and then told me I needed my receipt. Unfortunately, my physical copy was at my office, but I did have a photo of it, which I showed her. She simply shook her head and said âokay,â with no apology or acknowledgment of the inconvenience.
For a large catering order, I would expect staff to keep a copy of the receipt or have a record of the payment. The process should not depend entirely on the customer bringing in proof after prepaying in person.
Very poor customer service experience overall. I suggest better communication between staff, ensuring receipts for catering orders are kept on file, and improving how customers are treated at pickup. Please also make sure Conner, who originally took my order, knows to keep a copy next time.

It's panda Express. The Taco Bell of vaguely Asian food. It's fine for what it is, but with price increases, I have to wonder why bother at all? Just go to an actual Chinese restaurant. There are several in Olathe all better and cheaper.
Example, I ordered A La Cart Orange chicken. I chose a medium. I didn't want sides; just the chicken. Figured that would be a more direct way to get what I wanted. It came in this tiny box, barely a serving for one person, let alone 2. I had to double check that this was a medium. This was $8.70. I would have received the same amount of chicken for cheaper if I ordered a bowl with a side. Or, better yet, just ordered orange chicken from the several Chinese restaurants nearby. I personally recommend the latter. Panda Express isn't worth it

Absolutely horrendous how my significant other was treated with disrespect, came in line and doesnât know too much about DoorDash so how was she supposed to know the orders were by the register, then while sheâs in line the worker on the line takes a ladyâs order before her not even talking or asking whatâs sheâs here for then manager walks up and acts like sheâs stupid and snaps at her saying the orders are over there, no reason to be that ridiculously rude to someone I understand people are stressed out but that doesnât mean you take it out on someone thatâs nice to you and hungry.

Food eh, portions suck. The staff puts almost nothing in the trays and charges way to much for what you get. There's a buffet down Santa fee over I35 for the same price as a meal here. I go there.
Update. This picture was after a complaint about the Shawnee mission parkway location. I used the coupon in olathe and this is the half ass portion I received in what is a smaller tray for more of a cost. Panda, you suck. Do better or close down.
Giovanni is amazing. The front staff is led by two very sweet managers and the whole team does a great job. They know my order before I have to say it!

Food is pretty good here.
- The beef and broccoli is a standout because you can actually chew the beef! Most chinese retos we have visited give you what amounts to beef jerky and isn't even edible. So Panda is far above the rest in that category.
- The Walnut Shrimp is very tasty as well, especially if your are lucky enogh to get a decent amount of walnut in there. It's hit and miss.
But with the recent reports of irradiated shrimp appearing across the country, we don't know the origins of this seafood and have stepped back from ordering this one. That's no fault of Panda, it's just the market situation. They could make this a selling point if they can guarantee radiation-free shrimp though! Good 'ol Fukushima.
- The family meal is a good deal even without the occasional promo.
We manage to eat a few days on the family meal just by making some plain rice at home to fill it out.

Having an onion allergy in the family is tough sometimes. I always liked that Panda didn't use a lot of onions. But this last time, the fried rice was full of green and white onions. It really ruined the flavor as well as causing everyone indigestion. I'll have to check if there is a way to order it without onions, but I doubt it. So we will probably be visiting less due to that issue as well.
Orange chicken was wonderful

Not enough chicken in the green bean and chicken entry. I did not think I got my money's worth with a large box of green beans and 7 small pieces of chicken

The sweet fire chicken is really good. The fried rice is good. I'm not a fan of the crab Rangoon. Crab Rangoon is one of those things that people make the filling differently. I just don't happen to care for it here.
