Food Poisoning 😫 from Dining here 10/10/25
I really hate to leave this review, but I unfortunately my mom and myself got food poisoning after eating here for her birthday. We both became very sick and have had all the classic food poisoning symptoms. We hadn’t eaten anywhere else that day, so I’m confident it was from this restaurant.
It’s disappointing because the food itself seemed fine at the time and the presentation was lovely, but no one expects to leave a restaurant and end up ill. I’m sharing this so others are aware and so management can investigate their food safety practices — I’d really like to see this addressed so it doesn’t happen to someone else. The rolls we got were the Iron Man, the Sake Panda and King Salmon.

Food was good…albeit I was forced to do take out. I arrived at 9:20, they close at 9:30 so I did not get to experience the service nor atmosphere very well. I’ll bet it would have been good but they gave me a bag and the boot. I want to go back soon

For 12 years I’ve been trying sushi all around the Kansas City metro. My first experience was sake lounge and I didn’t realize how truly lucky and rare of a spot it is. Till this day I have friends trying to get me to a sushi spot and I’m always disappointed in comparison. It’s even made me continue to come back to Kansas City.

Decent pan-Asian cuisine here. The red curry noodles were quite different than what I expected, but still pretty good. Salmon skin sushi was decent as well.
