Delicious sushi at great price!
Two soft drinks, shrimp shumai, two miso soups and three rolls were about$75.
Only hot tea they offer is green.
Recommend the miso soup, gyoza, Spicy girl and Summer rolls.

Sake Lounge on Strang Line Rd in Overland Park was such a great find. I had the udon noodles with beef and the fried dumplings (gyoza), and everything was absolutely delicious. The noodles were flavorful and perfectly cooked, and the gyoza were crispy on the outside and tender inside. I also had the plum sake, which paired beautifully with the meal.

The atmosphere is relaxed but stylish—perfect for a date night or a laid-back evening out. Great food, great drinks, and a really nice vibe overall. I’ll definitely be back.

⭐ Sake Lounge – Olathe, Kansas
Rating: 4.1 out of 5
If you’re looking for a sushi spot that delivers both flavor and good vibes, Sake Lounge should definitely be on your radar. From the moment you walk in, the service is quick, the staff is friendly, and everything feels smooth and well-paced—no awkward staring at the menu for 20 minutes wondering where your server went.

The menu has a great variety of options, from sushi rolls to hibachi-style dishes, so whether you’re in the mood for raw, grilled, or something in between, you’re covered. Prices are reasonable, which is always a win when you want to try multiple items without feeling like you need a small loan. Bonus points for presentation—the dishes are plated nicely and look almost too pretty to eat… almost.

Now let’s talk about the real danger here: the sake. It’s too good. Like, “this doesn’t taste that strong” good. Like, “I’ll just have one more” good. Suddenly you’re laughing louder, ordering extra rolls, and questioning your life choices. So yes, the only real con is that the sake might trick you into drinking more than planned—consider yourself warned. 😅

Final verdict: Great food, fair prices, fast service, and a fun atmosphere. Just pace yourself on the sake unless you’re trying to turn dinner into a full-on experience.

I meet some friends for lunch and forgot to take pics, but it was just ok. I got the Volcano Roll and comparing it to other restaurants it was small. It was about the size of a quarter in diameter. Other places the rolls are usually bigger. It also fell apart trying to just pick it up. I usually just order one roll and i could have easily had two. Flavor was good, just small.

We visited with a group (14 people) on Christmas Eve. The service and food were both excellent. Highly recommend. Call for a reservation if you have a group. Parking is plentiful and close to the front door- which was good for a member of our party with mobility issues.

Sake Lounge is easily my go-to for the best sushi in Olathe. I’m obsessed with their vegetable roll combo—the avocado, asparagus, and cucumber rolls are always so fresh. It’s such a steal that I usually treat myself to an extra roll and an order of inari just because I can!
Whatever you do, don't skip the house salad. That ginger dressing is legitimately to die for. Even the presentation is next-level; they plate the ginger with a real orchid flower, and the wasabi actually has a proper kick to it. One of my favorite things is seeing the artistic sauce designs they pull off, especially for big groups. It’s clearly a spot where they care about the craft as much as the flavor.

Ordered carry out. Waited for my order when I got there so my order. Received my order. It had just been packaged & stapled bag when I left. Got home the bag was leaking with soy sauce. My passenger seat got soaked with soy sauce. Pissed. How could they not check they are closed before packing it in the bag.

Nice restaurant. My chicken curry was very good and so was the beef and broccoli. The chicken in the hibachi chicken was a bit tough. Good selection of Sake and wine
