This was a perfect little ice cream shop. There are plentiful flavors from which to choose, and my coffee/mint chip ice cream in a waffle cone was delicious, however the waffle cone could have had a bit more flavor. I'm always a fan of made in house ice cream, and seemingly from the crowded shop on a Friday in late March so is everyone else. Prices were appropriate for high quality ice cream, and if you have a family they have a six flavor flight so everyone can share.

I visit Sylas & Maddy's at Olathe location at least once in two weeks with my family. It use to be a great place to talk about quality and quantity of the ice cream. But now, not anymore. Though they are trying to keep the flavors and quality the same, they are going down on quantity. I am seeing that they are consistently serving less quantity. It is no more a place where you can say I am getting a good quantity for what you pay. The medium cup they are serving today use to be a single cup a year ago. They have drastically reduced the serving portion. I am not sure if this has to do with the Olathe location or same at both the locations. Anyhow, this is not our favorite place anymore.

The best local ice cream shop. Been going to Sylas & Maddy’s since I was young at their original location in Lawrence. All the everyday, original ice cream flavors but also many new, exciting and rotating options to try something new every time you visit. We bring all our out of town family members here and they all love it like we do.

So many choices, so little time. I tried the margarita sherbet and it was delicious. I love that they have ice cream or milkshakes. I will be returning to try the Seasonal Irish cream flavor.

Ella's was wonderful. The strawberry milkshake and pistachio almond ice cream were delicious. We're looking forward to our next visit.
Visited after going out to eat and it was exactly what I needed! The ice cream was delicious and I highly recommend! I wasn’t a fan of how expensive I felt the ice cream was for the amount I got, but I’ll likely be back! I will say I think it would have been helpful if an employee would have gone through the options they provided as there was a lot of overwhelming information provided while looking at the menu, as after I got my order, I noticed they did ice cream sandwiches and I definitely would have got an ice cream sandwich if I’d known it was an option. But overall it’s a great place to enjoy family and friends while enjoying a sweet treat and I will be back!
