I'll start by saying all of the food I've ordered from Thai Rice has been really good, and the little side of ice cream is always a nice surprise. However, attempting to order that food is an extremely annoying and frustrating experience.Let's start with the website. First of all, it's full of outdated or incorrect information. There are items missing from the online menu, and the open times rarely match up with what is shown on Facebook or what is posted in person at the restaurant. Next, actually ordering food on the website is IMPOSSIBLE! There are buttons to try and order, but it says they are not currently accepting orders. This day and age, not having a way to order online is a good way to lose a ton of business. So fine, you'll just have to call and order, right...?You'll be lucky if they pick up the phone. Every time I've called they refuse to answer the first time. I have to call at least twice, sometimes even 3 times before someone actually picks up the phone. I drive by enough to know they aren't swamped with customers, so I don't know what the problem is. And only having a corded phone isn't a valid excuse in 2021.So maybe you stuck it out and finally got on the phone with someone. You order a dish and an appetizer and mentally prepare to wait 10 or 15 minutes for it to be ready. NOPE! You're waiting 2-3 times longer than that, and hopefully the food is actually ready by the time you arrive. I'm not exaggerating either, I recently ordered pad thai and gyoza and was told it would be a 30 minute wait. I drive there 30 minutes later, and still waited about 15 minutes in the parking lot for my order to be ready with no other cars in the parking lot. If this was someplace that is constantly busy then a wait is acceptable, but not for Thai Rice by Ritzutto.I really want to support this restaurant, especially during the pandemic which has limited in-restaurant dining. But through their practices and systems it is clear that they don't actually want customers and I've grown tired of jumping through hoops to order food that I can easily get elsewhere.

The most amazing pad Thai I have ever had! Also very much love their Thai cashew stir fry, Gyoza, crispy eggs rolls and drunken noodles. Highly recommend this place!

Last week was our first time we went to this fine restaurant. But It is obviously not the last. We enjoyed the evening a lot with the good service, with the magnificent cuisine and fine drinks and with the modest charge. We will no doubt visit there again.

Highly recommend... if they are taking orders and have the ingredients you'll need The food tastes great! I wish the business was run better. I can't imagine they will stay in business through the pandemic They don't take online orders (they have the capability on their website), they are frequently out of common items, and their hours are inconsistent. I hope someone steps in and takes over the business end because the food is excellent.

Unfortunately, we didn't get to try the food here. Put in an online order, told we couldn't pick up for an hour. No problem, it's Saturday night. Arrive at the appointed pick up time. No other cars are in the parking lot, and the front doors are locked. Grounds are unmowed and the place looks abandoned. I called and was told our food would be ready soon. Waited another 30 minutes and called again. Still no other cars there. I was told it would be at least another 15-20 minutes, so I cancelled my order. I could understand a wait if they were busy, but they most definitely were not. It didn't seem like these folks were interested in running a business.

Food was pretty good. But the service was so atrocious I can never return. Ordered for pickup an order of Massaman Curry, plain fried rice, extra jasmine rice, and some dumplings. Arrived 5 minutes before scheduled pickup and the doors to the restaurant are locked and the parking lot is empty. Eventually the chef arrives and begins to make our order. Finally we get it and get home to find that we only have the curry and fried rice. At this point it was an hour late. Dine-in is probably fine but be weary of ordering togo.

I placed an online order tonight, website says they are open, I even received an email confirmation from the restaurant for my order. My husband arrived at the restaurant to pick it up, and no one answered the phone, doors are locked, no food! Soooo frustrating!!!

It's great to not only have a Thai restaurant in Olathe, but this one the food is outstanding, l had the red curry and crispy rangoon. The rangoons are smaller than the typical ones,, but make up for that with the great taste and depths of flavor. I'm going back tonight!
