Good food. But they are not open or have inconsistent hours.

I'll start by saying all of the food I've ordered from Thai Rice has been really good, and the little side of ice cream is always a nice surprise. However, attempting to order that food is an extremely annoying and frustrating experience.Let's start with the website. First of all, it's full of outdated or incorrect information. There are items missing from the online menu, and the open times rarely match up with what is shown on Facebook or what is posted in person at the restaurant. Next, actually ordering food on the website is IMPOSSIBLE! There are buttons to try and order, but it says they are not currently accepting orders. This day and age, not having a way to order online is a good way to lose a ton of business. So fine, you'll just have to call and order, right...?You'll be lucky if they pick up the phone. Every time I've called they refuse to answer the first time. I have to call at least twice, sometimes even 3 times before someone actually picks up the phone. I drive by enough to know they aren't swamped with customers, so I don't know what the problem is. And only having a corded phone isn't a valid excuse in 2021.So maybe you stuck it out and finally got on the phone with someone. You order a dish and an appetizer and mentally prepare to wait 10 or 15 minutes for it to be ready. NOPE! You're waiting 2-3 times longer than that, and hopefully the food is actually ready by the time you arrive. I'm not exaggerating either, I recently ordered pad thai and gyoza and was told it would be a 30 minute wait. I drive there 30 minutes later, and still waited about 15 minutes in the parking lot for my order to be ready with no other cars in the parking lot. If this was someplace that is constantly busy then a wait is acceptable, but not for Thai Rice by Ritzutto.I really want to support this restaurant, especially during the pandemic which has limited in-restaurant dining. But through their practices and systems it is clear that they don't actually want customers and I've grown tired of jumping through hoops to order food that I can easily get elsewhere.

They need to post their hours on the door. I stopped by in person because both Yelp and Google said it was open- it's not.

Great place! Spiciness was spot on for medium. The food was so good - can't wait to go back. Thank you!

Ordered curbside takeout this evening and couldn't have been more pleased! Pad See Ew, Gyoza, Waterfall Beef and egg fried rice! Pad see ew was amazing and I am so very happy I found a place close to me that does that great of a job with it! Gyoza was very good! The dipping sauce was a little different than I am used to but very good regardless! The waterfall beef was the surprise of the evening. Had no idea what to expect but was amazed by the flavors and couldn't stop smiling while eating it! Egg fried rice was good as well, it's listed as a side dish and should be treated as such. Not mind blowing but a good flavor and very useful in cutting the heat of the pad see ew when necessary. Like most Thai restaurants, the heat scale is not to be taken lightly. My wife got mild and I got medium. I thought they were both amazing but the after eating around half the mild, my wife said it was compounding and getting too spicy to finish. I don't think I'd ever go over medium. Great flavor AND heat that way but I've got a fairly medium high heat tolerance. All in all, yes. I will be back and most likely too often. Thank you to all at the restaurant that had a hand in our order. So happy with everything!

You gotta call ahead to make sure they unlock the door but the food is well worth it. We loved every dish we tried, and will be coming back to try more.

I feel like "special" is the write word to describe this place. They put a funky spin on Thai... Or maybe this is just really authentic Thai... I am not familiar enough with Thai cuisine to know, but the food is unique and delicious. I've also gotten a little thing of ice cream or a KitKat or a little bag of cookies each time I've ordered. See... special!

Based on other current reviews, this place is no longer what it once was. I've ordered takeout on two different occasions and was disappointed both times. The pad Thai was one congealed ball of noodles that tasted far from fresh. Really sucks because I wanted this place to be awesome as moving to Olathe from Liberty we ordered tasty Thai (the best Thai in kc) all the time.

The most amazing pad Thai I have ever had! Also very much love their Thai cashew stir fry, Gyoza, crispy eggs rolls and drunken noodles. Highly recommend this place!

Last week was our first time we went to this fine restaurant. But It is obviously not the last. We enjoyed the evening a lot with the good service, with the magnificent cuisine and fine drinks and with the modest charge. We will no doubt visit there again.

My husband and I ate here last week. He got Drunken Noodles and I got Pad Thai. He really enjoyed his but I was significantly underwhelmed with mine. We're going to give it another shot and I'm going to get something other than the pad Thai. I'll definitely update after a 2nd try.

Best pad Thai I have ever had!! Highly recommend. The cashew chicken stir fry was amazing as well but ended up being very hot with some unexpected jalapeños in it. The yellow curry was excellent too!
