Family headed to the big biscuit in Olathe on Mur-Len rd. after Easter mass last weekend. We used to go there pretty regularly but with so many good breakfast options in the Olathe/OP area it had been well over two years since our last visit. The inside is very spacious, has a good size outside patio to seat guests. Has a good vibe overall with some TV's playing sports round the clock. Our waitress was super nice. We had another family with us so she made sure that she had all of ours correct before putting them in. I got the bigger big breakfast. I decided on getting extra bacon instead of the ham steak, eggs scrambled, potatoes, biscuits and gravy. While my meal was good and the amount given for the price was fair my biscuits and gravy was barely lukewarm. Some of it was even cool so not sure if they plated it and just left it out or what happened but getting anything but hot food is a no go for me. By the time I had even dug in on the B&G I was already full so didn't bother to ask for a replacement. My son got the cinnamon roll pancakes. They are massive! Great portions for a good price. They were so delicious. Flavor was excellent! The big biscuit is a solid option for breakfast in the area especially given their prices. However, with so many other great options it is hard to envision us going back anytime soon.

I want to share my family's experience at Big Biscuit Olathe on Tuesday, 3/19/24.My dad has Alzheimer's, and we recently moved him into full time care in Olathe. It's been an adjustment.My sister was in town from Colorado, and we decided to check Dad out for a few hours for brunch. We never know how public experiences will go. Sometimes Dad responds well. Others he gets agitated or overwhelmed. Sometimes servers and other patrons don't know quite how to respond to him. We all just kind of wanted, for an hour or so, to pretend that everything was normal, that we were just another family going out for a meal.This is where Matt comes in. Matt was our server, and he literally made our entire day. I may just be getting old, but Matt looked about 17. He was thin as a rail. He had glasses and a mullet. I won't lie, when he first walked up, I kinda steeled myself. Sometimes younger folk don't have the life experience to deal with older folk. Particularly when the older folk tell you the same joke over and over again or get confused by your questions. But I needn't have worried.Matt started out by introducing himself and making friendly banter. He quickly picked up on the fact that we aren't the type of family to stand too firmly on strict propriety, and seemed to let his hair down a little bit more.Now, my mom typically orders for my dad, as he can get overwhelmed by the options. So, most servers just sort of ignore Dad and talk directly to Mom. Not Matt. He started jokingly asking my dad directly what he wanted, if he was okay, and to "blink twice" if he needed to be rescued. Dad's sense of humor is very intact and laughter has always been a coping mechanism for us. It worked beautifully.Throughout the meal, Matt was delightfully and teasingly irreverent, but never inappropriately so. It's three days later, and I'm still grinning at the memory.Thank you so much, Matt! You made that outing something we'll talk about for a long time. We needed that badly.

Got on the wait list for a party of 20 today and was told we still might have to wait, however when we got there we were sat immediately..our waitress, Kay was very polite and personable. Any of course biscuits and gravy were great. Thank you all for your serving our crowd

A great place to go for Sunday morning breakfast/brunch. We come here almost every weekend and have a wonderful experience every time, Barbara was our server today and she was exceptional. She is very kind and professional, as well as extremely efficient. As always the food was delicious! Their belgian waffle is a favorite for sure, as well as their eggs benedict is one of the best I’ve had. Overall such a pleasant experience at Big Biscuit today, thank you Barbara and the rest of the great staff!

Buyer Beware ..... went in for breakfast a few Sunday's back and the service was very slow and the food was just ok! Ordered takeout recently and was very disappointed in the quality of the food mostly because the food was cold which made it unappetizing!

Great food. Service can be slow when they are really busy (Sunday mornings), but friendly. Love the outdoor patio when weather allows.
