We went in right at opening, took 10 minutes before waited on. while waiting, the bartender put on her makeup and did her hair, our waitress joined her by doing her hair. If this is done in public eye, what happens in kitchen? I rate a 0

If I could give this place a -5 I would! Worst experience I’ve ever had in a restaurant!!!! I had two of my kids with me 11 year old and 5 year old ( autistic) my two other family members. We order our food and within 20 mins they had only brought out the kids food, cheese quesadillas, and chicken fingers, both with fries. I noticed my daughter picking at her chicken. I said “ let me have a piece- looks good” .. when I tell you the chicken was frozen.. it’s was FROZEN.. it had frozen crystals in the inside. That was a tinny piece of the chicken that she was picking at. I grabbed the other pieces and they were ALL frozen on the inside.. The adult plates hadn’t made it to the table, we all decided we don’t want to even eat here no more. We get up to speak with the manager, my daughter not trying to let go of her food as she doesn’t understand what’s happening. I told them we are paying for our drinks and that’s it! The manager says to the waitress that was serving us “ the chicken was cold, is there other food done”.. as if that mattered at that point.. I felt as if she was trying to get us to pay for the meals we hadn’t even got served yet. We didnt leave room for them to bargain we just paid the $13 & LEFT! If my child get salmonella From here I’ll be putting in actions because that’s not okay! I have picture and video of the chicken as my daughter walked out with a handful in her hand & I took from her to get a temp reading. Mind you this restaurant is off 119th st. We live within 10 mins of this place. This is the temp reading almost 15 mins after it was served to my 5 year old daughter..

Killer House Ritas. Stopped in for just a snack. Had Pozole, chips an dip. So much for the snack. Was a full meal for 2.... So much for steaks on the grill tonight.. The house ritas were made from scratch an not a mix. Will def be back.

Food tastes great. Service was slow and confused. Dining room is open so the sound carries and you can't hear friends and family without them yelling. Drinks and food presentation was a bit over the top. Keep it simple. They gotta concentrate on service and not gadgetry and overcomplicated presentation.

I went with the breaded fish tacos, and let me tell you—wow! They were absolutely phenomenal. The crispy coating on the fish paired perfectly with the vibrant pico de gallo and the creamy, flavorful sauce. Each bite was an explosion of texture and taste. Plus, the portion size was no joke—three massive tacos that left me completely stuffed.

The rest of my family sampled the El Gordo burrito, the cantina burrito, and the flautas, and every single dish was a hit. The portions were generous, bordering on indulgent, and the flavors were spot on. The menu itself is a treasure trove of tempting options, making it hard to pick just one thing. We’re already counting down the days until we can go back to explore more of the lineup.

One heads-up: the prices are on the steeper side, so be ready for that. But honestly, the quality and portion sizes make it worth the splurge.

I’m not the type to complain or judge a restaurant but I do like to give advice … this place needs some work.. I feel like there should be more training envolved within the employees I was told they were overstaffed when I personally don’t see a need for it… it’s better to have better waiters than too many and less educated I’m sure the waiters can handle a little bit more training and from what I’ve read from these reviews is that people seek to agree .. the food was 4.5/10 we had to ask for salt, ketchup, lime, pepper because a lot was lacking flavor besides that the chips were cold and stale as well as the tortillas that came with the meal the salsa had a somewhat good taste but was very much watered down which I know if they just charged a bit for refills on salsa with better use of ingredients it could go a long way.. drinks just tasted funny the soda was very watered as well maybe I just came on a weird day but I’m just sharing my experience :-)… service was interesting we ordered normally but asked for no lime and as soon as we were handed the beer it had a lime … no problem we order a spicy salsa they forget it… it gets here just tastes funny doesn’t have flavor just is spicy to be spicy .. the atmosphere is beautiful the mural is just breathtaking the decor and way the meals are served are also very cute and elegant but at the end of the day it comes down to the taste .. my friend got a rash from the food…? She’s not allergic to anything so .. interesting… the chocolate coffee drip from the churros is what was really good … this was my first time here and overall I’m just meh I was very excited but left feeling disappointed I know this place can go a long way but unfortunately it’s not there yet I hope to see it become better

We did not know they opened this new location. There was not a wait time. It was empty when we arrived for dinner, but once we left it was packed! Service was good, bartender was attentive asking if we’re okay or needed anything. The patron flight is more on the sweeter side. And the food was delicious especially the frijoles! As you can see it was a lot just for me. My boyfriend helped me eat it hahaha. Other than that, everything was great!

Booths are uncomfortable, but that's because they are very high back (4ft) and straight up and down.
The chips are either over cooked or stale.
The regular salsa is bland. Spicy sauce is spot on.
Ordered 3 taco that were delicious! Beans and rise were pretty good. Rice was not over cooked.

1st time here & will be the last time. White queso came out barely warm & was super thick & just unpleasant. I had asked politely if I could please have another one that was actually warmed up & not all hard on the top. It came back to my table with an attitude, then after my fiancée & I was eating out of it, we noticed 2 hairs in our white queso dip. I brought this to another staff members attention that we were finished with the evening here at this establishment. We had asked for water with no ice for my fiancée & then kept bringing out water with ice. Our order taker was just as confused as we were when ordering a specific taco, being that it was our first time, no help & nothing was really explained to us either. Manager of the shift was too busy up by the bar talking with bartender & watching football on TV for a long time, not walking around & checking on his staff or better yet, his paying customers that has visited the establishment for dinner. This appears to be a franchise & after looking at the reviews, they are obviously going in the wrong direction with running a good establishment. Never Again!

If only I could give this place a zero I 100% would. Staff is very slow and super inattentive, the actual manager cares only about watching TV at the bar & doing nothing that managers do... We didn't even get a chance to try the food, but from what we have seen expedited, portions are smaller for a bigger price that in other Mexican Cusine places. Their was hair in our queso and after manager's and other employee's reaction we ended up walking. Again, this review is based purely on the customer service we experienced, but the combination of service & food caused for it to be bad enough for us to just walk away. First and last time here.

Food was not even subpar. Staff & management is definitely not trained well in being able to run this establishment. I recommend everyone to see all of the negative reviews. This place is horrible.

They don’t take reservations but the wait time wasn’t bad at all. The service was not very good. It was incredibly hard to hear and be heard by the server. We weren’t allowed to customize one of the dishes which was very unfortunate. I actually ended up getting violently sick after eating here after eating the chicken enchiladas trio. The portion was large and drink menu very nice! A bit pricey but, if I hadn’t fallen ill after eating here I would have likely gone back. My husband’s tamale was excellent in flavor.

Vegetarian options: I asked if the enchiladas could be cheese instead of chicken filled and the server just said no, that’s not how it comes and they can’t do that. Just thought that was strange and overall pretty unimpressed with that.

Our waitress was terrible with no manners. Also talk bad of my family to manager in front of us. Also our food came out incomplete with sides missing and I never got them. Our water was forced to refill. There was a hair in my wife's food. I'm not one to say this but I believe the restaurant is racist, and it made my family feel uncomfortable. And when our cheese dip came out it was given with no chips lol. When the manager finally addressed us he tried to fix it with dessert of churros and specifically left me out on the count! Please do not go to this restaurant it was the worst experience I ever had at a restaurant.

This place is legit even in a city with many other legit Mexican restaurants. Atmosphere is very cool and upscale feeling. Prices are great. Food is excellent. We got the Trio Dip and Taco Flight. Drinks were strong! Honestly felt like being at an all-inclusive in Tulum.
