Came here with my mom and got their iced salted caramel latte and it was so good. Low prices as well. Person behind the counter was kind and straight to the point, which i like. Will be back for coffee here soon!

I would have liked to enjoy a coffee while reading a couple books I brought with me, but considering I have a bad back and all they offer are club tables with stools or non high-back chairs I decided to leave. Not coming back either.

Coffee and pastries were great. It was not too crowded when we visited, great place to sit and chat.

First time visiting - love the forest-themed vibes. Pros: - house made syrups - oat milk isn't an up charge! - some gluten friendly pastry selections available - friendly service - Affordable latte prices - only $5 for a 12 oz oatmilk latte with housemade syrup - Siracha available for breakfast burritos! Cons: - only 2 couch/comfy seating areas, rest of seating is metal chairs & mostly high top tables that aren't the most comfortable - pastries are a little pricy Suggestion to add huckleberry syrup to the menu! They sell huckeberry roaster coffee - it would be awesome to have the forest/NW berry flavor here in Kansas!

I am on my continuing quest to find that one coffee place that provides the best coffee experience and when a friend of mine recommended this place, I headed there. I got a 16 oz coffee and sweet scone for $9'ish dollars including tax and tip. The coffee itself was okay, with a bland taste that is a bit like donut store coffee. Light, inoffensive with no bite, it had good temperature but it lacked the taste for good cup of coffee. The scone was a disappointment. It was not sweet, which a sweet scone should taste like (I would think). It was just....there. Even they berries on it (I can't remember if it were cherries or cranberries) had little tartness. The only sweetness that came from it were from the chocolate. As for the store itself. There is a lot of seating but I found the layout to be long, with the only natural light coming from the front of the store. Adding to that, the lighting was a bit dim so the feeling I got was a bit dreary, made worse that the place was nearly empty when I arrived. I prefer a lively spot, even if I am there to do some work. The service was okay, it was prompt, but the server was there to pour coffee and get back to his phone. If you are in the 87th and Antioch area and are looking for a place to do a coffee pickup and like an easy drinking coffee, then you can't go wrong here. I went here about a month ago and I haven't been back since, so I was okay with it, but not a fan.

Not only do they have great coffee and drinks, I love the fact that they care for me their community. This is truly a place where everyone is loved on!

There's not enough coffee places in the metro (esp. outside of KC) that are open til 7pm most days, so I love that Bear Necessities is! On top of that, it's cool that their layout has a ton of seating -- this is a great place to study, work, read, etc. I've only been here a couple times but an example of great service: I ordered a drip coffee and the barista thought that the brew batch was getting a little cold, so she gave me that coffee (which was still decently warm) and a free fresh one a few minutes latter. I have definitely been to places that don't have this level of detail. I'll have to try more of their espresso-based stuff next time.

Very cute and nice comfy atmosphere in this coffee shop. Kids loved the cider. I tried the rosemary vanilla latte. Pretty good actually. Don't think rosemary was for me but fun to try. Baristas were very friendly and efficient. Burrito was fine. Little pricy for size but good ingredients. The croissants were wonderful. Love the logo!!

We have been meaning to try Bear Necessities for a while now and so glad we finally did! We will be back. Best Cappuccino I’ve had in a while (had the house made spiced brown sugar syrup). I love that they’re sourcing so many local KC vendors as well - Kate Smith, Heirloom, Yoli. We had a breakfast burrito that honestly was enough for two! We will be back - would love to try a cocktail!
