This was a fabulous experience, better than some restaurants we have been to lately. The food was amazing. There was such a wide selections to choose from. We came hungry and went home stuffed, and bought bakery items to enjoy later. We chatted with Chef Steve about the program. What a great experience to offer to the students. Classes, guest chefs, Bistro night, lunch option for the onsite staff and students, and bakery products and coffee/tea offered in the mornings staffed by Project Lead graduates to offer them further experience - all of these things make this a shining star example of what we can do to support the future of our children. We will most definitely continue to imbibe in the fruits of Bistro Cafes labor.
Each course needs to be delivered to the entire table at the same time. Some of us were waiting on course one and others were on course two. The server needs to check on drinks and refill waters which we had to request several times. The server had difficulty making eye contact. The food was excellent and the variety of choices available for each course was wonderful.
This place is fantastic. From the small bites they give you when you sit to the bakery when you walk out. If you haven't tried it.... you should!
One of the best dining experiences in the Kansas City area. Not only is this an amazing cause for students in the SM school district but the food is absolutely amazing. Everything is seasoned and cooked to perfection. They utilize their own greenhouse garden, and it shows. This is how food is supposed to taste. I wish I could dine here weekly.
This was our first time there and will not be the last time. The food was amazing. We were able to try different takes on favorites or something new completely. The presentation of the food was excellent. The serving size of the items appears to be smaller than what you would get at any other full scale restaurant, however we enjoyed the smaller sizes as it allowed us to enjoy all 3 courses to their fullest. We also got served foccacia bread with two condiments to eat. The students were attentive, and we were able to ask questions and tour the school. All in all it was a great evening with awesome food.
server was nervous but good. she found answers to our questions. The Adult supervisors stopped by and chatted. the presentation of food was fabulous. the taste of the food was excellent. we took a tour which was nice. ended the night by stopping to by pasties. we will be back
Great experience and the food was delicious. Love going to these dinners and supporting this great program.
This is such a great establishment and concept! The food is 5 star quality, and is prepared and served by students. At $40 per person you couldn't find a better deal. And you are supporting a great cause. Many of these students go on to culinary careers after getting their start here. Highly recommend coming here and coming back to try what you couldn't the first time!
Great people, food and atmosphere. Thanks for a lovely dinner this evening. It was well worth the price too.
This experience is one all should experience! For around $40 you get a 3 course chef created dishes, plus bread service. Gratuity is cash only. It was difficult to decide on what each course we wanted but all the courses were visually appealing & had some complex flavors. I had the shrimp chorizo empanada, Panang Shirt Rib with rice & the warm cornmeal financier. My favorite dish was my dessert. I am still trying to wrap my head around all the elements of it. The only drawbacks wasthe noise level and our student server was a little slow, we had to ask for our drinks to be refilled every time and he didn't provide much details in the beginning we had to ask. This is a great opportunity to eat from inspiring young chefs!

Always a joy to spend an evening here. Outstanding food and attentive service. Tonight we were seated at the counter facing the kitchen and got a close look at the actions and insights from the chef and staff members. We cannot recommend this place enough.
The food was amazing, our server was fantastic, and the chef in charge of the students makes a point to stop by every table to check in. It's no wonder it's so hard to get reservations! One of the best meals out we've had in a very long time!
We enjoyed the diverse menu. Each dish was complex and well executed. Sauces and microgreens brought sunshine and bite, caviar popped in your mouth, fish sang and ribs rocked. A Valentines Day to remember!
Broadmoor Bistro exceeds our already high expectations every time we visit. It is a one of a kind dining experience that I recommend everyone see first hand. The quality of food for the price cannot be beat. Can't wait to return!
