OUTSTANDING food and great service! You can tell this place is well run. Happy employees, everything is clean, etc. They even have the good ice! You know the kind I'm talking about. So glad we just moved in a mile up the street. This'll become a regular in our rotation!

Well. Here we are again. Look at this fine chap. This restaurant not only yellow and teal chairs, but also gray. However do not overlook the fantastic service this fine establishment provides. When we walked in, Miguel welcomed us with open arms and encouraged me to sit down to eat instead of takeout. Miguel is a kindhearted individual who may have asked me to write a review about his amazing service after providing us with the complimentary free cinnamon tortilla through the cinnamon tortilla hotline. Sometimes I fart from my urethra, but that fact was probably irrelevant. There are so many words on the walls that only Miguel could help me read. Miguel invigorated me with a sense of purpose and hope I have otherwise not found anywhere else. Frankly, this farting thing is starting to get kinda annoying, but I’ll be fine. Eventually, after our meal, our whole group had to go back to give Miguel a loud and homey “thank you.” The last time a relative of mine died was probably a couple months ago so we’re highkey chillin. Miguel deserves a raise. Manager, if you see this, understand Miguel's friendly personality and wonderful skills with food make him the ideal employee to work at Costa Vida. And if I can’t have him, nobody can. I don’t want you to think I’m in trouble, really, I can handle the farting thing, so don’t ask me questions about it, be like Miguel, he didn’t ask me questions either. Miguel was flipping awesome.

This was, without exaggeration, one of the most memorable restaurant experiences I’ve ever had at Costa Vida, and that is 100% because of Miguel. From the moment we walked in, he set the tone with the most welcoming, upbeat, genuinely kind energy. Not the forced “customer service smile,” but real, authentic friendliness that instantly makes you feel comfortable and taken care of. It honestly felt like we were guests he wanted to serve, not just another order in line.
Miguel was unbelievably attentive and detail-oriented. He made sure every single part of our order was exactly right, answered questions with patience and confidence, and checked in at all the perfect moments without ever hovering. He remembered what we ordered, anticipated what we might need before we even asked, and kept everything running smoothly—even while things were clearly busy. Watching him work, you can tell he’s someone who takes pride in what he does and genuinely enjoys making people’s days better.
The food was incredible—fresh, flavorful, perfectly prepared—but Miguel’s service elevated the entire experience to a whole different level. It didn’t feel like “just grabbing food”; it felt like a top-tier dining experience where the service actually matters. His positive attitude never wavered, his professionalism was unmatched, and his energy made the whole place feel brighter.
Customer service like this is rare, and Miguel absolutely sets the gold standard. He is the kind of employee every restaurant dreams of having—the kind who makes customers want to come back, leave glowing reviews, and tell everyone they know. If Costa Vida has an MVP, it’s Miguel. Give this man all the recognition, promotions, raises, awards, plaques, employee-of-the-month spots—whatever it takes—because he has more than earned it. I’ll be coming back specifically hoping Miguel is working, because service like this deserves repeat visits.

This is an insult to Mexican culture and cuisine. I have never had such good service paired with what might be the most bland and tasteless garbage on earth. Not only is is more expensive than Chipotle, but its also so much worse. The sweet pork is sickly sweet, the chicken drier than sand, and the steak has less flavor than the dirt on the kitchen floor. The staff are the only reason I am not giving this a less than zero rating. Please if you have money to spend go somewhere where the food is somewhat like Mexican food and not this abomination that looks like it might be authentic, but in reality has no personality, no flavor, and no soul.
