The amount/ size has been reduced tremendously for a costly samosa and vada I get it you like to make profit but selling a miniature samosa forms full price compared to your competitors is too drastic Very disappointed

It's a chain restaurant and they don't care. I found a stink bug in my curry and that did it for me. I threw it away. Fortunately, I saw it before I ate it but I puked. I guess they thought that was a special treat. It's disgusting and I've taken a picture. The bug was still alive!!

Indian food is awesome and this is one of the places that I frequently visit to get my fix. My go-to order is their butter chicken and garlic naan. Here's a breakdown of Desi Bites as a frequent customer: - The butter chicken can be a hit or miss. At times, when I order a spice level (extremely spicy) I don't receive what I order. The butter chicken is good, but it sucks to wait 30-45 minutes for my butter chicken and not get the spice level I ordered. The basmati rice that comes with the butter chicken is not fresh, you can tell from the texture and odor. - The service is extremely slow. They have one worker up front and multiple in the back kitchen. I have been at Desi Bites during their primetime hour (dinner time) and I understand why they are slow because they have numerous orders to fulfill. I have also been at Desi Bites where the the customer traffic was slow, ordered my usual, and ended up waiting 45 - 50 minutes for my one order. - The employees can do a better job with customer service. Most of the time they don't talk to you nor greet you. The space is also quite small and don't accommodate a lot of people so plan to order food for takeout. Music selection is fire though and there are always a lot of people here. Conclusion: 2.5/5 - Overall, Desi Bites can improve with customer service, process of getting their orders out to customers in a timely manner, and food quality. The place can be crowded at times, but it is what makes up the ambiance and atmosphere of Desi Bites. I am rounding my score to a 3/5 for Desi Bites because it is a place that I don't mind going to for my Indian food fix.

Pros:(1) Varied menu options(2) Flavorful foodCons:(1) Little seating area(2) Super busy (and I mean super busy) - id have felt a bit awkward eating here, if we didn’t eat with a couple people familiar with this restaurant(3) Slow service - 4 of us ordered at the same time, and 3 got food within 25 minutes. The fourth took about 45 minutes, which was a curry dish like one of the other’s(4) The chicken had gristles and bones in it sometimes (apparently chicken with bones in it is common one some dishes, but isn’t labeled as such for those dishes)Opinion:(1) I sorta feel like 3 stars might be appropriate - the good is excellent. But seems unlikely everything will be good

As a nearly daily patron for the past two years, I've sampled nearly every dish on the menu. However, my go-to orders now are the lamb biryani and majestic. Yet, consistency remains an issue; while some batches boast tender, flavorful meat, others leave much to be desired, with chewiness becoming an occasional disappointment. Despite this, my visits have shifted primarily to enjoying tea, though even this experience varies in quality. Nevertheless, the atmosphere of the place keeps drawing me back—it's become a staple for meeting friends, despite the fluctuations in food quality.

The first time we had their food I brought it home from a catering meal at the hospital and the food was absolutely outstanding! This time we waited 48 minutes for our food when people came in and out several times over and got their food. The cashier was very kind and apologetic, but the guy back in the kitchen putting the orders together was smirking at me and obnoxious. Did we get treated differently because we were the only white faces in the whole place, well I will leave that for you to decide, but it was extremely frustrating and the guy messed up our order in addition! The food we got was good, but not as good as the first time. There are alot of good Indian food places around so it will be quite awhile before we patronize this place again if at all. All because of one jerk!

Don’t be fooled of negative reviews and the low overall star rating of this place. The mysore masala dosa was a little soggy due to takeout, but it was still good. The idli-vada was delicious, and so did the Desi Bites chicken biryani (spicy version). The egg bonda was alright. The chutneys and the sambar were pretty good. I noticed that there’s a grocery store, which was pretty neat. The kiosks allow you to order and pick up your order without waiting in line, which is convenient. Give this place a try, your taste buds will thank you for the authenticity.
