The waitress looks like a robot, she doesn't ask if you want more drink, she's always serious, it looks like she's angry all the time
The bathrooms stink of poop and the smell is watered all over the place
Really all the food here is disgusting.
The cabbage they give you is black it looks As if it has been cooked for several days, and cut horribly big the sauce is tasteless, apart from the way that the waitress wants a tip and puts you a percentage more on the bill

Never again will we eat here! 4 tables were eating in. We waited an hour to eat, took 30mins for the pasteles appetizers to be served. My beans were cold, beef stew was lukewarm and dry pot roast it had no sauce/juice whatsoever, hence the stew should have sauce it was hard to swallow dry! Rice was reheated, the waitress Jessy had no warmth to her and lifeless, no smile, she looked upset to be there. Like dealing with an AI robot. Never came back to ask if we wanted more drinks or anything, poor service! Didn’t mention a service fee of $2.75, to serve us? we’re eating there, I t’s not takeout, McDonalds doesn’t charge to serve you and it’s fast food. Prices keep going up. Everyone around us waited forever. It’s not cheap either compared to other places. Steak is $18 when I get more and better for $14. El Pulgarcito is your only bet! Save your time and $$ and run to El Pulgarcito. Waste of $63 dollars for sure, food was tasty at least.

Very disappointed- drove 30 mins to give them a try - food wasn’t ready on a reasonable time , food is not bad but definitely not good to make a drive neither . I’m pro-gratuity 100% but not 18% when you picking up and also felt dishonest when they don’t tell you about it or even mentioned it . Won’t be coming back - very disappointed 😔

The beef broth was pure water, the meat was hard and pure bone, the seafood soup had 2 shrimp and a piece of fish. They include 18 percent of the tip. I don't recommend it

This has always been one of my favorite restaurants, but my experience on February 4, 2025 at 2 PM was disappointing due to poor service from the only waitress on duty. While slow service can sometimes be understandable, what made this especially frustrating was that she spent much of her time sitting in the corner, either scrolling on her phone or on a call, which made our lunch take much longer than usual.
Also, he initially tried to overcharge me for a plate of plantains. I ordered a small portion, but they served me only four pieces while they charged me for a large one. I had to ask him to correct the account and charge me the proper amount.
I paid with my Venmo card and left a small cash tip, as the service didn't warrant a more generous one. However, I just received an email showing that my total increased by $2 after the transaction was finalized. Under the circumstances, I can only assume that the waitress added an unauthorized tip to my card. I am now contesting the position.
Not only was his service inattentive and unprofessional, but he also had a rude attitude. This is very disappointing for a restaurant that I have always enjoyed, and I hope management takes action on this.

Pupusas used to be decent but this place has really gone downhill. I placed a pickup order for 12 pupusas and they were all dry with very little filling and mostly masa. To top it all off they charged me a 18% gratuity on my pickup order without even mentioning it. This would be more understandable if I was dining in but an 18% mandatory gratuity for mediocre pupusas that seemed rushed is ridiculous. Skip this place and head to pulgarcito like others have mentioned in their reviews.

Food was delicious! The service wasn't the best, we were a table of 4. Only table, we ordered food and when it was sent out, our kids' food wasnt coming out, even after 10min of getting our food. She forgot to ring it in. There's no free refills for the machine soda, its an upcharge for every cup you drink.

Holy MID !! Ordered 5 pupusas and not only are they mad small , it was pure MASA. Hardly any meat or cheese and to top it off only 1 container of cabbage was provided. Pulgar is your best bet on pupusas in town
I had the El Salvadoreno Sampler which includes the pupusas, pasteles, tamales, and enchiladas. This is so different from anything I’ve ever had before and I was pleasantly surprised by how many gluten free options there were, as most of the items are made using corn flour.

The order was messed up. We paid for an item that wasn't there. When I picked it up, there were sauces that were supposed to come with the orders weren't included. The staff members conpletely forgot about us until I arrived. They need to get better at preparing their orders.
