Firebirds Wood Fired Grill

Party of 7 Friday evening 4/25 ~ 7:30. One of our party ordered the 3 course meal and didn't receive the salad until everyone was half way through their meal. And the BLT salad was soggy and the bacon tasted burnt. Never were offered bread. The meat (which is why we went) was only of average quality and one of the steaks was overcooked. Meals were not served hot enough. Overall we were disappointed with the price/quality of the food. The service, while enthusiast, was also far from point. The restaurant is beautiful, so top grade for ambience and our group's vibe saved the evening from further disappointment in our dining experience.

Our food was good, as usual. Prices have gone up, as expected with everything goingon in our economy. Ran out of our drinks before finishing our meal, which was unusual. Our server asked if we we were interested in dessert and when we said no, said he would bring our bill. Then realized we were out of drinks. Also, we order soda water off the tap, not club soda. Sometimes we don't get charged - last night was charged $3.75.

On Sunday I had the salmon salad which was delicious. Tonight I had a steak which I thought was too seasoned. The brownie dessert was excellent, but the lobster queso dip was yummy.

The food is always excellent. The food choices are many and varied. One of my favorite places to eat

Not a $$ more like $$$ or $$$$ And inexpensive plate was about $35. Appetizers about $20, not including taxes and tips. Food is decent but not 'OMG'. Especially for the price. Lucy was our waitress and super sweet and on top of our needs.

Our server was great. She was attentive but not bothersome. We had a delicious dinner and a lovely family gathering.

This was our first time there, but it will not be our last. The food was delicious, beautifully prepared and delivered with impeccable service.

We got there early for our reservation and they were able to accommodate us. The food was amazing we had a great Easter Brunch.

Our waitress was superb, and the food was excellent. A bit pricey, but the evening was well worth it. I've never been disappointed at Firebirds, but the service was well above expected this evening.

Firebirds has been one of our favorite restaurants in Overland Park for years! Last night was a terrible experience! Made reservations, only had a table outside and it started storming. I had to find out waiter to ask to be moved before our food came out. Once they finally moved us indoors out of the storm, our food had already been ready for at least 5-10 minutes, so it was cold! My filet was extremely overcooked (asked for medium!) and was told that it would take atleast 20 minutes or longer to cook another one due to over capacity! No apologies or acknowledgment from management. Normally a 10/10 experience, but this was our 5 year anniversary dinner and it was a complete disappointment!

Met here following a funeral that brought family together. We were able to relax and visit without being rushed. Theresa was tremendously attentive and took great care of us. The only disappointment is that you were out of the one item I picked Firebirds for. The tomahawk pork chop.?

We are visiting Kansas for the first time and had the absolute pleasure of having Ali as our server. She was phenomenal, attentive, kind, and very friendly. AND She has an amazing memory. She's all the things that you would want your server to be, plus more! EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT!!!! Hire more Alis!!

The food was delicious and the service was fantastic! I'd never been to Firebirds before and was not disappointed at all with my experience. We sat outside and enjoyed the weather on their patio. Great place for any occasion!
