Despite having to work, our server was very cheerful and seemed happy to be there, despite the fact that it was Thanksgiving.

My son and I went on Thanksgiving! The staff was very friendly and professional. We were called to our table at exactly our reservation time. The waitress and servers were very attentive! The changeover at each table was very smooth even though it was a very busy holiday. The food was very tasty! I loved the orange jestiness in the cranberry sauce. There was plenty of food! Overall, a very pleasant holiday experience!

Usually a very good restaurant. Disappointed in Thanksgiving day meal. I know it is difficult to serve and accomplish such a big task but the food was cold and not very tasty.

We had the Day Fix menu and it was just right. We were full enough from dinner that we took the dessert home and had it later. Attentive and proactive service made for a good experience. The only downside was we were there while the Chiefs game was on and they had the sound turned up too loud.

We've been enjoying Houllihans for 30+years but now watching it go down hill. Went on my birthday for prime rib and onion soup. Wife fish and chips. Smaller portions. Asparagus stringy and inedible Soup cane late, cook missed it and I got it half way thru meal. Ate soup and steak hot cold. Back to steak and soup got cold. Waited too long for second drink. Server did comp a dessert but $80 for a forgettable meal. This was at 5 pm and place was slow. I'll do happy hour but dine elsewhere.

Just went in for lunch and we are from out of town. Our food took over and hour, my lunch fish taco had old brown lettuce on it and looked like it had sit in the window for a while. We watched the server, manager, and kitchen manager stand in the kitchen and do nothing. The server never asked how our food was even after we had told her we had been waiting for over an hour. Took over 15 minutes to get change and finally found a manager to talk to and he didn’t apologize and he looked like he might have been on something. We go to KC a lot and this would be somewhere that we would never return to or recommend anyone to go to. There was hardly anyone in the building. Working in the service industry there are certain things you let go. But this was just awful

The food was really good and the service was even better. Huge thanks to Molly who was our server! She made it one of the best experiences we've had when it comes to going out to eat. Couldn't have asked for anyone better.

My sandwich would have been good, but it wasn't warm. My French fries were excellent.

Overall good experience, I got the 3 courses for 25.99. I started with the Char-Crusted Tuna. This was cooked perfectly rare with a wonderful wasabi mayo that added just enough heat when paired with the sweet Thai chili. Although I feel the garnish was too big for the dish. For the entree I had the Seared scallops which had an understandable $4 upcharge. These were also perfectly cooked with a good risotto, although the asparagus part of it was lacking but the arugula and dressing attached to it well made up for it. The Basil-infused olive oil played no part in the flavor but the balsamic reduction added a welcoming acidic flavor to the scallops. Overall a well orchestrated and presented dish. For dessert I had the vanilla bean cheesecake which had a great cheesecake flavor but was over the top with carmel topping and another cheesecake dollap that lacked any vanilla flavor, especially vanilla bean. I also felt the graham cracker crust was somewhat soggy, but overall a good dessert. My wife had the Top sirloin steak with grilled asparagus and garlic green beans. Both vegetables were cooked perfectly al dente with a slight grilled flavor on the asparagus and great flavor on the green beans. So many restaurants easily mess up both these vegetables, but Houlihans cooked them perfectly. The steak was good, but tough although top sirloin is not a premium cut of meat so much grace is given. The service overall was good, after our server came. It took 7-10 minutes to see a server after being seated. We contemplated walking out over this and later in the evening we saw a table do just that. Overall great experience and would recommend.
