Ixtapa Fine Mexican Cuisine

A very classy and clean Mexican restaurant. The quality of the food and service is very high, and it is also quite reasonably priced. The owner who is super friendly and helpful, also makes it a great experience for all his customers. You just could not have a bad meal or time at Ixtapa. 5 stars from me!

Pollo mariposa is better than any fajitas I've ever had, and my mom's Tex Mex was probably the best enchilada and tamal I've ever had. Absolutely amazing food! Service and atmosphere good too, but we were the only customers there and they just had one person working, which worked out fine.

The food was amazing as well as the friendly service. We had a great time and highly enjoyed the experience. We have one picky eater son and he has never eaten beans before, he tried some and had two helpings.

The Legends are true! "The Tour" of authentic Mexican cuisine IS a great way to enjoy the food and meet Victor, especially if it's your first time. Everything was so fresh and well prepared, and the service was attentive and kind. From the appetizers to the dessert it was a very delicious and enjoyable experience. Treat yourself and a loved one and stop in!

I put in an order online. When I arrived it wasn’t ready. I waited 30 minutes. I had 3 conversations with a server trying to figure out where my food was. In the middle of the conversations, he would straight up walk away from me and go help other customers. I had to finally ask for a manager to come and help me. While I was waiting, multiple families came in to be seated, but no one was there to help them. Some waited over 10 minutes before finally leaving. I am very dissatisfied with my service.

Firstly, the owner and staff are very interactive and caring. It was honestly the best customer service ive seen. The food is amazing. And the atmosphere is extremely clean and modern. It's an absolute gem and if you're near, try this place. It's impressive.

We were visiting overland Park Kansas and we were looking for a Mexican restaurant to eat at. We found this one online and decided to give it a try. When we arrived at the restaurant it had a very bad sewer smell as soon as you walked in the door which made it already unappealing.

We were standing there waiting and there was a staff member that was on the phone and she turned and walked away from us and went over and sat in a booth on the phone and we waited a couple minutes for someone else to come out and seat us.

Once we were seated and started looking at the menu, we decided that there was not very much of a variety there and they only offered steak shredded before chicken. They didn't have anything that had just regular ground beef taco meat.

We have been sort of the chips and the pop so we just paid for that and we left and went and found a different restaurant.

It would definitely have helped if the staff were more attentive.

The Steak Mariposa was a nice deviation from tex-mex but the cheese and the salsa overpowered the steak.

The margaritas was delicious and reminded me of the freshly prepared with fresh squeezed lime juice from our travels.

Be warned: the fine dining comes with a heftier pice tag.

For us it was a special treat but we probably won't be regulars.

Excellent food and service. They have some tex mex items, but that is not their specialty. Chile rellenos are fantastic here (not deep fried but sautéed). Queso fundido is great as are the quesadillas huastecas and huitlacoche. Service is always good.

The worst margaritas over ever had. Not only did we send one pitcher back and not drink the new one, but, they charged for both! We won't be back!

The food is delicious, authentic Mexican food, not greasy with cumin and bland. The owner is very enthusiastic, but he practically forced as he just told the server to serve them anyway after two times of say no, to eat desert, I did not appreciate that.

Outstanding experience! Victor is the owner. If he serves you be prepared to learn a lot about authentic Mexican cuisine. We did the “Tour of Mexico “. It was amazing. Unique ingredients. It was a lot of food but we didn’t feel stuffed and bloated at the end. Not your typical Tex Mex restaurant where everything is smothered in cheese.
