I visited for a pop up event to try a Michelin star ramen dish, shigure ramen. It was fantastic! The atmosphere nails what I imagine is as close to a Japanese ramen shop experience you can get here in the Midwest. I'll be going back to try their regular menu very soon! Also they have another even coming up this month, so be on the lookout for that one on their website!

Love love love this place. To get in line to order, you’re in this aisle of unique Asian drinks, desserts, candies, merchandise. The staff is very friendly they hand to you the menu and tells you the most popular ramen (black garlic) while you wait to give your order. I opted to find in during this lunch time. It’s self serve, after you order you place your table number, get your utensils and they have hot/cold water dispenser. The order came out within 10 minutes, looks like a small portion but actually a deep bowl of wonderful ramen noodles (fresh hand stretched?) with pork Chasiu (pork), half soft boiled egg, mushrooms, etc. The broth is delicious, full of flavor. I can see why this is the highest rated ramen place in Lenexa/Overland Park area. Atmosphere is cute, with 2 dining areas large enough for what I can imagine the volume of dinner or weekend crowd. Decor is cute with live plants on the window sill, nice glass bulbs hanging from rustic ropes on wooden poles. There are twinkling red/orange/green lights which add to the festive atmosphere. I saw that the table next to me ordered the fried rice which they stir for your table side. Will definitely come back here next time am in town (hoping there’s a next time since I love Kansas having visited this first time, my boyfriend Matt Dz*****z’ hometown!)

Paid $23 for a bowl of ramen that was missing ingredients/had really small portions of the toppings. Super disappointing to pay that much and to not get what I ordered, presentation was way worse than I expected. The pork belly was barely cooked too, slimy and falling apart, no fried root vegetables either and I didn’t realize until I got home and looked at pictures.

Everything absolutely AMAZING!!! Highly recommend trying everything you won't go wrong! Staff were awesome, super friendly and very helpful!! Also pop up event was awesome chefs were going around talking to everyone! food came out super quick too! Will be back very soon!!

My Wife and I had KC Craft Ramen tonight. We had the iron skillet pork fried rice, KC pork buns and takoyaki... Let me tell you, it is the second time we have been and it is DELICIOUS!! Thank you for bringing part of the beautiful Japanese culture to Kansas City. The food, atmosphere and hospitality is second to none!! Definitely has become a favorite of ours.
I stopped into KC Craft Ramen last weekend and was delighted! The food was fantastic! I ordered the KC Red Ramen and Brussel Sprouts. Both were delicious. The service was fantastic and the decor/atmosphere were phenomenal.
