Rude staff. No please or thank you. They act like as if they are doing a favor to the customer by being there. Slam the order window while giving incomplete orders. This location needs some serious customer service training for many years.

... one of the worst McDonald's food qualities I have experienced ... cold room temp hamburgers bathed in ketchup so cold the burger was probably colder than room temp ... might have been 4 tablespoons of ketchup on a cold burger ... whoever is working here today needs to be retrained ...

Make sure you check you bag prior to leaving! They do not say thank you to the customer, and just hands the bag out of the drive thru window! How is that their nationality is the only people working here.

Walking through the doors of this reimagined McDonald’s feels less like entering a quick-service chain and more like stepping into a modern brasserie that happens to wear golden arches. The lighting is soft yet intentional, illuminating clean lines of polished marble counters and seating upholstered with quiet luxury. Even the faint aroma carries a different timbre—still recognizably McDonald’s, but elevated, curated, and restrained.
The service sets the tone immediately. Instead of hurried exchanges across a counter, I was guided to my table by a host who treated my arrival with the same attentiveness you might expect at a Michelin-starred establishment. Menus, leather-bound with embossed lettering, offered familiar classics written with new gravitas: Angus Quarter Pounder with Artisanal Cheddar, Golden Fries—Triple-Cooked in Sunflower Oil, Hand-Spun Vanilla Bean Shake.
The first bite of the fries was a revelation. Each was crisp, golden, and seasoned with a measured hand—no limp edges, no oil-heavy aftertaste. It was as though McDonald’s had finally unlocked the Platonic ideal of its most iconic side. The burger arrived shortly after, plated with the finesse of a fine dining entrée: brioche bun gently toasted, lettuce stacked like architecture, beef patty cooked to precise juiciness. A drizzle of house-made “special sauce” brought a tangy brightness that danced on the palate rather than overwhelming it.
Perhaps the most surprising triumph was the dessert: the humble McFlurry, here presented in a chilled crystal coupe, folded with shards of Valrhona chocolate and a whisper of espresso powder. What is typically a sugar rush in a paper cup transformed into something layered, nuanced, and worthy of lingering over.
What struck me most, however, was not just the refinement of the food, but the reverence with which the experience was crafted. The staff treated the act of dining—yes, even at McDonald’s—as a ritual of comfort and joy.
In this five-star rendition, McDonald’s becomes not a guilty indulgence, but a celebration of the everyday elevated to the extraordinary. It is proof that even the most familiar flavors, handled with care, can earn a place among fine dining’s pantheon.

Great attention to detail and amazing customer service. Best location in all of Overland Park.
I did not feel welcome, employees were bitchy (did not want to be there). Do not recommend!
Took over 20 minutes to get my meal while the staff were not efficient at all.
Clean. Good service.
The employees at this McDonalds are extremely hard working and friendly. I get great service here on a regular basis. My kids love the play area, and they actually bring your food to your table in the play area everytime.

Poor service
Consistently pleasant experience
Awful hard to order when the cashier thinks in a different concept.
Play Place makes everything great
Took my kids to play after seeing minecraft movie. food came out with no mistakes, and the worker even offered extra drinks for my girlfriend and I which was kind and appreciated. But 1 of 2 problems arose when I went to the bathroom and it was covered in vomit with nugget pieces in the sink. Staff did clean it when asked.
The big problem was from the Nuggets themselves. Had 3 members of my family with severe diarrhea and vomiting all night, the ones who ate the nuggets. Had to visit doctor because of missed work and school. I highly recommend that the manager check their stock, and anyone eating to be cautious.
