McGregors Butcher & Bistro

was there last night visiting from the UK .Party of 10 waiter could have been more attentive and as I had Salmon it was overcooked on top . Disappointed

Expensive, service was good. Steaks were tender, no taste. Great French Onion Soup.

My husband and I had dinner here last night. Some of the best food we’ve had in (Kansas City) in recent years that is not an understatement. Loved what we had so much.. Went back to the butcher shop this morning for breakfast sandwiches, and biscuits and gravy. Everything was excellent. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Excellent Food.. best my wife and I have had in Johnson County in a very long time. Service was wonderful as well. Atmosphere could be better. Very quiet at times.. some background music would go a LONG WAY! The food definitely made up for it.

Went there for drinks and a little food. We only had sandwiches and some appetizers, but they were very good. The drinks were very good. Try the Midnight Alibi. Wonderful drink. They also had live music which was enjoyable.

Spur of the moment anniversary dinner! We honestly had no plans and then came a recommendation for McGregor's! 10/10 would definitely go again! We had the steak flight, McGregor plate added, and the brussel sprouts! Crab cake for an app! Devin did an amazing job and was an excellent server! Definitely ask for him when you go!

Sandwiches were AWESOME. That has to be the best pastrami I’ve ever had. So tender and flavorful. Amazing service! Love the selection of local goods! We tried the lemonade and it was perfect. Can’t wait to go back!

Alison and I enjoyed breakfast this past Sunday at McGregor's Butcher & Bistro. While we were enjoying our breakfast sandwiches, Tom, aka Tommy the Butcher, told us we needed to try their restaurant, which is located right next to the Butcher & Deli. He mentioned that every Tuesday night, they have Burger specials. For $18, you get a burger of your choice, fries, and draft beer or, as in my case, a soda. It just so happened that we were out last night and decided to stop in. I have to say it was one of the best dining experiences we've had this year. Our server, Sarah, was excellent, helped us with tons of advice, and truly made us feel special. Alison enjoyed the Mushroom Cheeseburger, and I had the BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger. They were both phenomenal. The meat all comes from their own butcher shop. The burgers tasted great, and the bacon was crisp and to die for. The fries were also fantastic, especially the truffle fries. We also enjoyed an appetizer of Gralic Steak Bites, and they gave us some warm, locally made Farm To Market bread with some house-made butter that was awesome. Lastly, I want to add that the entire experience was relaxed, and you can taste the care and love they put into the dishes. With the check, they also gave us each a complimentary shortbread butter cookie that was out of this world. Alison and I would like to thank Tom and Sarah, and everyone else we interacted with at McGregor's. We look forward to visiting them again in the near future. It's truly a special small business that we wish we had discovered sooner. Sidenote: The Deli and Butcher side is open Tuesday-Sunday, 8:30 am to 3:00pm. I also look forward to trying a deli sandwich in the future. Tommy told me I have to try the Pastrami on my next visit.

I would recommend the butcher shop in addition to the restaurant. Both have high standards. Tom recently helped me pick the best steaks for a birthday celebration and everything was perfect. I really appreciated the excellent service and outstanding ribeyes. Had the steak flight recently and every bite was a treasure.

My husband and I are regulars lol. We often get stuff from the butcher shop as well. Best bacon ever. Service is always amazing along with the food.

Definitely the BLT 🥪 as well have local products, of Support. Community Unity Peace. Exquisite food 😋.
