I keep giving Mr. D's another try but always find myself disappointed for the same reason. The quality is lacking.This morning the $20 worth of donuts were chewy and stale. The icing fell off and the just tasted 'off'.You may have a better experience than I have over the years, but this will be our last visit.

This is a classic donut shop that sells the best donuts in the city. Not only are the donuts delicious but they also sell Messenger Coffee too! I highly recommend giving Mr. D's a chance as your preferred donut shop because you will not regret it.
If you're out of multiple people's favorite donuts by 730am (people left in front of me) you should make more from the start. 730 am is early for a donut shop and there's no way you should be getting low already. I've literally eaten donuts from around the country and you shouldn't have to be there before the sun to get them lol The only good donuts here are the fritters and blueberry. Their honey glazed and yeast donuts definitely need work. Went to a second donut shop right after ??Also $10 for 3 apple fritters is absurd ?? too many delicious donuts shops on the city to settle for this. Just happens to be close.

I've been coming to Mr Ds for 6 yrs after moving and looking for a donut place.I'm picky about my donuts and Mr D's never disappoints ! They are the right amount of fried, and they don't leave a gross film on the roof of your mouth like other places. My favorites are their honey diped and Chai flavor. But all of the donuts are good blueberry and homestyle are close favorites even the new mochi style is good. When my family and I go in, it's always a good place for all of us, even the kids.Everyone is friendly , serve you quickly get you donuts you want unless they run out . They didn't used to take cards, but they do since the new owners took over a couple years back and have wifi. I like the nostalgic feel of the place. When many places feel generic, this place is well cared for and feels loved and homey. I love taking my family here and feeling a community.Kid-friendliness: They have games to play and don't scare kids away . My kids love going in and getting milk to go with their donuts or juice.

Awesome Ma and Pop donut shop. The one where all the decorations are just old news paper clippings of their success. Service was extremely fast and kind. Showed up as soon as they opened and was able to get three dozen of exactly what I wanted instantly. Donuts had their own amazing flavor and design. Would highly recommend to any and everyone who's hungry for donuts! 5/5 for sure!
