Way better than expected. Coffee is sort of ho-hum but still drinkable.

Got here on 3/21/25 - the place was filthy. When we walked in there were at least 7 tables that were begging to be cleaned after the last customers. The menu had stains and marks. Additionally being charged $3 for a tiny fruit cup (and eat healthy) is a bit ridiculous. Not sure if Biggie would be stoked…

The food was cold. I couldn't finish the link sausage because of the foul taste. Never going back, despite the good waite staff.

Service was very pleasant, menu was OK, food was not great. Eggs were a bit runny, French toast overcooked, they didn't have some items even an hour after opening. I would try them again Kistler because the location was convenient, service was great and I wanted them to be good!

Unfortunately, my brother and I had a terrible experience at this location last week. My basic breakfast meal was awful- my over-easy eggs were barely cooked, I only had one piece of toast. My brother's order of fruit and grits were ridiculously small, maybe 1/4 of a cup each. The fruit bowl consisted of a few blueberries, and one completely white strawberry. We never saw our server again after our food was brought to our table.
This was by far the worst meal, and worst service I've ever experienced at any restaurant. Very disappointed, we've always been pleased with our meals at the Shack.

First time here, terrible experience.
Doesn't serve lunch the only time we want lunch from here. On the weekends.

It doesn't say they don't serve lunch in the weekends anywhere except on the menu in small font.

Food was great. I had the "Big A#$ Burrito" substituted with pork belly instead of the steak. They had ketchup and hot sauce at the table which I took advantage of. My boyfriend and daughter both enjoyed their food as well. The restaurant decor was interesting... On every wall there was graffiti, but that seems to be a part of their gimmick for customers to write on the walls. The multiple chandeliers were fun. Our server was nice and regularly attentive, and the wait for our food was not long at all, maybe about 15 minutes.
My only complaint was that at the server's station behind us, workers would huddle up and gossip about other workers. It was annoying to say the least, and at the most it's in poor taste. I have hearing problems, and I couldn't hear what my family was saying some of the time because of the competition in noise. I would like to visit again, but perhaps sit somewhere else.

Kid-friendliness: There is a kid's menu, but it's tucked away on the main menu with not many options. I wish there was a separate kid's menu with a coloring activity, as my daughter and I enjoy coloring together at restaurants.

The decor was fun and booths comfortable. The server was efficient and pleasant. The early Saturday breakfast crowd was at less than 50%. It was a shame that our food was less than warm to fairly cool. Each item should have been hot...eggs, sausage, waffles. As we left there was a long line. Hopefully the rest of the breakfast service improved.

Excellent food, consistent and fair prices. The fact that they don’t take carry out orders over the phone takes them from 5-star, to 2-stars for me, because at least half of the time I want breakfast before I go to work, I’m on my way and want to stop and grab a meal. I don’t want to be forced to use an app and create an account and order online. Call, tell em what I want, pick it up and pay with a nice tip— for the convenience. Make them a dine-in only for me, and even then.. I have to overcome my moral objection to not being able to get the level of service I’d actually prefer. A conundrum.

The food was good and proportional to its prices (especially the skillet dishes). Would recommend any of them and if you’re craving a pancake (as a side) instead of English muffin, substitute it instead! Overall, best dish to have come out from this is probs the fried chicken one or the grown man cry. The chorizo tasted like a cheeseburger

We just walked out of the Overland Park location. We arrived at 9:47 am and was seated. There were only maybe 3 tables occupied. Really dead in there. Twenty one minutes later, still NO ONE had come by and even asked about drinks. Nothing. We left at 10:10. Marking this one off my list.
