We enjoyed a nice lunch here today. My crispy chicken salad was great! My 4 kids all loved the chicken, mac and cheese, and the toast was a big hit too! Also, the lady at the counter was so friendly and patient.

Alvin the order taker was amazing. They were obviously a little short staffed, but he was doing it all with a great attitude: taking orders, delivering food, bussing tables, etc. He was smiling the whole time and very courteous.

I had ordered from them through Door Dash the night before. An item was missing from my order, and when the driver didn't respond to me to see if he had left it in the car, I called the store. They took my name and information and said if I could come in the next day, they'd replace the item.

While I was there, I had lunch. Although I enjoyed my chicken strips and fries the previous night, the classic chicken sandwich was wonderful! The dessert jar was worth the wait!

Layout is sort of warehouse style, but not echoey. Reminds me of District Brew Yard in Wheeling (IL). It was a nice day; I wish I would have gone out to the patio. Next time...

**TO PROVIDE ANOTHER UPDATE - THE DIRECTOR of the area promised to call me back on Monday SEPT 30th. They never did. I will continue to share this experience with everyone I know. Over $240 out of pocket for their error. NOT A SINGLE APOLOGY TO DATE. Not to mention RUINING a 2 year olds birthday party.

I would give zero stars.

We ordered food for our daughters 2 year old birthday party over a week in advance (and paid for it). 10 minutes before their scheduled arrival our order was cancelled - no warning no explanation, and NOONE WOULD ANSWER THE PHONE THERE. We called over a dozen times. Nothing.

Once this happened, we ordered food for all 30 people at the party location because Slim Chickens no showed. Then miraculously the order was "re confirmed" (again with NO COMMIUNICATION - still not answering the phone). Then completed the delivery 1 hour and 45 minutes late. The party was over. We double paid for food and now have a fridge full of 100 chicken strips we couldn't possibly eat.

Again, not a single person would answer or communicate with us. I will share this experience with everyone I know.

Slim Chickens dropped the ball, in more ways than one. They failed to deliver a confirmed and PAID for catering order at the very last minute. Immediately we called many times to get answers/refund but no one would answer the phone, no communication from the owner either. Two hours AFTER scheduled delivery time (and scrambling to order food on site for our guests) Slim Chickens somehow reconfirmed the order and a delivery was in progress, which they failed to communicate. By this time, our guests were leaving and we were stuck with 100 chicken strips.
After trying to get anyone on the phone for two days, I was told the Regional Manager/Director would call to discuss a refund, but it’s been over a week with zero follow up.
Such a disappointment. I’ll be telling everyone I know to not give business to this location or any Slim Chicken's in the KC area.
