Might be the worst bbq I've ever had. Came to the KC area hoping for a culinary highlight and walked away with a tastebud low. Ordered the burnt ends and mainly got slabs of undercooked fat. No smoke flavor what's so ever and what pieces of actual meat I was able to rescue from the clutches of the blubber like like substance surrounding my bbq was more springy and chewy than a piece of rubber laying out on a hot summer day. The cuisine does not justify the overinflated costs of this joint. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED. Add to the sticky floors, limited menu, unavailable items and lack of customer service, I would probably rank a McDonalds McRib over anything here

If I could give zero stars for customer service I would! Unfortunately, the staff is/was not wearing name tags or I would put their names. We were the only people who were there except employees. Family of 9. Staff acted as we were bothering them, when some of our food was missing they became defensive saying that we didn’t order it. Why would we not order for 3 people? Then my husband went up for a side and the male worker wouldn’t hand it to my husband instead set it on the other end of the counter. The food was fine but will be contacting a manager for formal complaint on the employees. Will not be returning!

This is my second time going.It was 97 outside and the inside temp felt like it was just as hot, but without wind. Ceiling fans would help with air circulation.Meat tasted dusty. Not that it was dirty or anything, just had a consistency which didn't taste very good.I wouldn't wanna go there again.

We went on Friday night around 7:00. I will say generally the food was good. My husband had a half slab of ribs and fries. I had the burnt ends and fried mushrooms. We were ok with that. But the rest of our experience was disgusting and disappointing. The fact that we were required to still wear masks should have given an indication that they were not aware of the new Kansas requirement restrictions. And there was only one other couple eating there when we walked in (this should have been an indication). The floors were sticky. All over the restaurant. The self serve soda areas were still closed. The ladies restroom has a sign that says it's checked every 30 minutes and that is a lie. The huge stall had enough TP for maybe one more visit (after mine). Meaning one roll was empty. There were 2 things on the wall for soap and those were both empty. The store bought container of hand soap on the sink did not have enough soap to wash my hands. The doors walking in the front had a half-assed attempt to be cleaned in addition to the separating plexiglass. The bottles of BBQ sauce on our table were sticky as well. I wanted to wash my hands after using them but I had already had my bad experience in the bathroom. I only gave 2 stars for the food. But the condition of the restaurant is the reason we will never go again. We can get BBQ elsewhere and not be disgusted by the restaurant.

This food is amazing!! It's not been well marketed which is a shame!! Came to eat with our family and felt like a local family restaurant with amazing smoked meats, the sides are delicious! I didn't get but I am truly intrigued by the bbq egg rolls! Ribs fall off the bone delicious!!

Picked up some burnt ends and ribs on my way home. Service was fast and friendly. The ribs were tasty and the BBQ sauce was pleasantly sweet. My wife enjoyed the burnt ends and said they were “melt in your mouth” good. Will definitely go back.

I ordered the burnt end dinner, meat was okay, portion was small, 2 slices of soggy white bread and bowl of cheesy bake that I can't eat without a fork,(which I didn't receive. Way over priced for the portion and flavor. Save your money and go somewhere else!!!

Ive definitely had better food and service when ordering. Beans were good but not fond of the meat i had. If you wanna spend a high amouny of money id suggest going somewhere else.

Burnt ends were the only descent thing. Definitely a lot better BBQ around. The beans had a giant bone in them. Won't be coming back to this one.
Super nice and helpful staff!! Had the pulled pork sandwich and friend had brisket sandwich. we LOVED them. The baked beans are a must get!!!! Fantastic prices. 10 out 10 will go back and recommend to everyone. :)

I went on a recommendation the food was decent tasting not something that is above and beyond. My issue with it is the price it was definitely over priced for the portion. I got the combo plate with two meats and one side turkey and ham. The price was $13.99 plus I got bread (2) pieces and pickles (3) slices yes (3) for a extra $1. It literally was a robbery that happened and I didn't know it. I got maybe a total of 3 pieces of turkey chopped up and (4) pieces of brisket. Definitely not recommending or returning to Smokey's

Tried Thai place out due to the 4 reviews and our first choice was on a hour and a half wait (Q39). When we got to Smokey's I had to check the door to see if the lobby was closed because the parking lot and lobby were empty. Not a promising sign but we decided to try any way. Right away we were greeted by one of the guys from behind the counter with a "Take out or dine in?" I responded, "Dine in if we can." He responded back with "Well ya," (remember the place was empty while other nearby places were on an hour+ wait) with a bit more sarcasm and annoyance than I would have like. I am doing keto right now so I had some questions about how they prepare their ribs, a simple question about whether they smoke their ribs with sauce on or after or if I could get them with just their rub. One of the guys went to the back and brought out the pit boss. All three seemed SUPER annoyed that I had a question about the ribs. They also seemed very annoyed that my boys (15 and 13) were trying to decide between ribs and chicken strips. All the annoyed responses and attitude like I'm putting them out by trying to give them my business aside, I decided not to just turn around and walk out since my boys were hungry. The ribs were juicy and very flavorful. My boys like their Mac n cheese, chicken strips, fries and the sauces. Overall, Smokey's loses a star for the less than personable guys at the counter. The pit boss gets a pass since it's not really his job to deal with customers. He just needs to make delicious meats.

Well that was a sad way to spend $17.00! I should have no there was trouble the second the man came on the intercom in the drive through. Both employees working today were less than enthused to be there and had zero customer services skills. The price for two meats, one side without a drink was staggering and the taste was even worse. I ordered pulled pork, three ribs, and basked beans. The meat was dry, tasted odd, and the BBQ was way too sweet. I definitely will not be back.
