The food is really good, I didn’t know Indonesian food at all before we ate here, but I love it now. We just ordered it for iftar tonight and it’s amazing (and halal). The owner is a really nice lady, she seems to be doing most of it by herself but doing a terrific job. The two times we’ve eaten in here it was quiet with only a couple of other tables occupied, but it’s nice to eat in a calm environment sometimes. Food is 10/10 though.

Sure can't recommend this joint. The food was mediocre. Chicken legs were cold. Breast was overcooked. And it's not much food for what we paid.Rice was okay.....

Don't let the name of the restaurant scare you because it is not spicy. It can be, if you ask for it. We were looking for a restaurant to dine while we were in the area, and this restaurant popped up. So glad to visit because not only the food was delicious, the staff was very nice. The owner was so lovely. I can definitely tell that she loves what she does because when we ate the dishes, we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Must order the avocado smoothy because it was delicious!!!!We enjoyed her food so much that I had her catered my party. She got everything ready on time and ready to serve. Thank you Erdah for my beautiful culinary experience.

We came here on a Sunday evening - when we arrived, we were the only ones in the restaurant, and the restaurant stayed empty the entire time we were there. This was somewhat surprising, considering how well the restaurant was rated. Seating was primarily booth style seating. We had to go up to the counter to order, despite it looking like a sit down restaurant. We grabbed some menus and took it back to our table to decide, then we went up and paid. Our food was brought out to us in a relatively timely manner. Food itself was okay. I was excited to try some Indonesian food for the first time, and I would say that some of the dishes were unique and interesting. However, I can't say that the food we had was stellar, or something I'd be dying to try again. Furthermore, for the price we paid and the amount of food we got, I was a bit disappointed. Flavor wise, everything actually tasted pretty decent, and I felt that the seasoning and style of cooking were on point. Overall, I might recommend it to someone who's wanting to try Indonesian food, but I can't say that I'd personally come back now that I've tried it. Perhaps it's post COVID along with inflation pricing, but for a order-at-the-counter type experience, I'd expect somewhat cheaper prices.

We drove 45 minutes to try this place and they were closed during hours they were supposed to be open. What a waste of time. Honor your hours.

The owner is so sweet, please help support small business. I had Mie Goreng with shrimps, best part was her hot sauce. I ordered 2 oxtail soup for my dad and one for my wife. They said it was very good. Please be patience with her, she takes time making the food, but it is worth it! Just like home cook meal.

Great place for authentic Indonesian food. Food is definitely not very spicy at all, but great taste overall. Service is nice and the layout of the place is very clean. Best of all, the food is served Halal!

If you're second guessing coming here. Don't. You should definitely try this place. I'm posting this while it's still called "spicy one." But it's not spicy. At least not everything. We had fried noodles and the spicy rendang spicy beef. It was very very good. Even the kids had the fried noodles. Trying this place is a must.

Kansas City, show this place some love! We are spiciness wimps and it's not spicy at all unless you request it. Don't let the name scare you away. The beef rendang was the best: savory, tender, rich, and mellow. We were disappointed that dessert was unavailable the day we came, so the owner offered to whip up a batch of her favorite rice pudding with brown sugar syrup, just for us. This was a warm, soothing highlight. It's worth the drive out to the suburbs! I wish one tenth of the people at Five Guys across the way would just give this a try.

Got takeout for dinner. The beef rendang was tough and dry and could use some more flavor. However, the turmeric rice was good. The chicken fried rice was also good but a little mushy. The fish & shrimp siomay with sweet soy sauce and peanut sauce was alright, but nothing too special.

I loved it! We had the noodles with chicken and the fried rice. It was delicious! I loved Sambal sauce that comes with the noodles! Highly recommended!
