It’s not the same as Strouds. Different menu, sides and recipes. Definitely not representative of the Strouds brand.

I placed an order on 5/11/2025 @4:00pm, paid and was told my order would be ready at 5:45pm. I arrived and was told there was a backorder and it would be another 15-20 minutes. At 6:35pm my order was still not ready and was told it would take another 20 minutes. I spoke to the manager who said that they were doing the best they could and did not seem to care about the several customer waiting to pick up their food. l finally got my order at 7:00pm. The wait was totally unacceptable. By the time I got to my daughter's house to have Mother Day's dinner. My oldest daughter had to leave to get her baby to bed and missed out on our celebration. To add misery to the fire the fried chicken was overcooked and we were shorted the mashed potatoes. We've been a patron of Strouds going back to the original location at 85th and Troost. We are very disappointed by the service and food and would welcome a reply by the management.

Always went to Stroud's in northland. Heard about this one and wanted to check it out. Food portions were smaller, they upcharge almost $10 for the "family style" serving, when Stroud's in northland doesn't upcharge. AND THE CINNAMON ROLLS were horrible. They were literally just dinner rolls with butter and cinnamon! I'm just shocked at how bad it was compared to northland.

I really loved their Chicken Fried Steak and fried chicken. They have all you can eat sides including mashed potatoes with gravy and green beans. They have cinnamon buns for dessert. The restaurant had plenty of space for you to bring your family. The restaurants in a great location. Strouds is a must try restaurant in KC.

KC Hopps is slowly killing this place, it gets worse every visit. Go up north and avoid this place like the plague. Ordered a regular dinner today and the only thing that was cooked to order was the breasts. The wings were tough and cooked probably at lunch and the leg was slightly warm. Another KS Hopps eatery slowly biting the dust. My last visit.

I had always heard how great Strouds is so we were driving by and figured after all these years we would give it a try.
We ordered some fried chicken, and it comes with sides of green beans, mashed potatoes, and gravy.
The chicken was very disappointing. It was dry and had been cooked well in advance of ordering it.
The sides were good, but the fried chicken left a lot to be desired.
I grew up in farm families and either of my grandmothers could cook better fried chicken than Strouds.
Perhaps if they would cook the chicken to order it would be much better. I myself would rather wait for some fresh fried chicken than some that was probably cooked hours ago and placed in a warmer.
We won’t go again for sure
Our waiter was great and attentive with no issues at all.

Wheelchair accessibility: Entry is ADA compliant and many lower tables available. Did not check the bathrooms
