I am relocating back to the area after 5 years of being out of state. I stopped by to get a tostada. I have often thought of how I miss having a tostada from taco via being nowhere near a taco via for several years. I ordered to go. The food tasted exactly the same and did not disappoint. The service was not as friendly as I remember. Both counter attendants were not very talkative or very nice at all. I remember the place being a bit more friendly. I went there when the place was not super busy between 2-3pm. I’m not sure what was going on or if this is the new norm.

My favorite restaurant in the KC metro area.

Great lunch option.
Had a tostada that looked like a taco salad. Combo burrito was real supreme in size! Little one loved the Taco hotdog.

Reasonable prices and good food.
Thank God some things never change!

Their taco burger is delicious. They were very busy but the restaurant was clean . The food took 10min to prepare. The fountain soda was mixed perfectly. I will go back.

A must go to when in KC! I have a bit of an addiction to their taco dogs, and the nacho with peppers!

I love Taco Via! My family has been eating there since the 70s. Anytime we visit KC, we have to go there. The sauce is great smothered on Sancho and a Taco Burger. You can now buy the sauce...think I might try a Michelada with it!

It was okay, nothing to brag about. Walk in give your order and then go sit down, they call your order number and you go pick up your order from the counter.

Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap accessible and free parking but limited, it's in a strip mall with other businesses, so it's shared parking.

I’m GenX and grew up on Taco Via. I’ve enjoyed the food at this location for several years. Each bite brings back a sensory memory. However, the last two times I’ve been there the food has changed. My order is a nacho wo peppers, a taco and burrito. The burrito is overloaded with dry refried beans, making it dry and heavy. It’s out of balance. I’m hoping someone from this restaurant will see this review and correct the issue. The nacho and taco were okay.

I've been coming here since I was a kid. I love their flat nachos, ranchos and they have crushed ice. Their taco sauce is the best. So glad they sell it in bottles now.

Taco burgers are my favorite here. It's been a long time since I've been to Taco Via and I forgot how big the taco burgers were. Their sauce is delicious and I ordered a burrito as well to "branch out" and I will absolutely order them again. They were delicious and filling and yea so good. The woman taking orders on this day was very patient with my mother and I as we struggled through ordering and the man who was calling orders was polite and understanding when we weren't paying attention the first time he called for us. I will be visiting again for a taco burger and burrito soon!

Parking: The parking lot is huge and shared by other businesses. There is plenty of parking in front of and to the side of the restaurant.

Kid-friendliness: I think the whole menu is friendly for children.

Wheelchair accessibility: While dining I did see a wheelchair using customer come in and they were able to quickly find a table that was built to accommodate them. The entrance into the restaurant level with the sidewalk with a slight threshold bump that is easy to roll past. The parking lot curb is low to the ground so wheelchairs can go over it without much struggle but also closer to the door it tappers off and forms a slight ramp for wheelchair users.

Never Go Here. Run Away. The food was actively bad. So bad I went to get a second lunch afterward. They got my order wrong. They took ages to fix it. The taco shells were so hard they hurt my teeth and cut my mouth. I think they were sitting and going stale for a year. There is no soft shell taco option. It was expensive. The employees are gormless and sort of meander around. There is no atmosphere here. The restaurant was dim and the floors were sticky. The booths were coming apart. The whole experience was like a dystopian nightmare. Please spend your money anywhere but here because this place either needs to turn everything around or go out of business.
